Yinchuan Mobile Environmental Toilet Project

Admin October 08, 2026

The Yinchuan Mobile Environmental Toilet Project is a comprehensive project that combines local climate conditions and usage requirements, achieving environmental protection and practicality through modular design, efficient waste treatment, and intelligent management.

Design Principles and Environmental Adaptability: Yinchuan experiences a dry climate with large temperature variations and frequent sandstorms. The mobile toilets utilize lightweight composite material enclosures, offering insulation, sandstorm resistance, and ease of transportation and installation. Internally, they integrate water storage, sewage disposal, and ventilation systems, forming a compact sanitation treatment unit suitable for various outdoor scenarios.

Waste Treatment Technologies: The primary methods include storage-based, biological, or chemical treatment. Storage-based systems rely on built-in sewage tanks for collection, with regular removal by specialized vehicles. Biological or chemical treatment involves adding bacterial agents or decomposition materials to initially degrade solid waste, reducing the frequency of removal. Given Yinchuan's limited water resources, some designs incorporate water-saving flushing devices or dry separation technologies to minimize freshwater dependency.

Sanitation Maintenance and Facility Layout: The interior walls feature antibacterial coatings, while the toilets are designed with easy-to-clean curved surfaces. The flooring materials combine slip resistance and corrosion resistance. The ventilation system combines passive air ducts with active exhaust fans to continuously replace air and suppress odors. Facility layout must consider peak foot traffic, service radius, gender-specific toilet ratios, and accessibility for individuals with disabilities. The placement is calculated based on event scale and crowd density to enhance usage efficiency and reduce environmental impact.

Physical Structure and Functional Implementation: The design adopts a modular approach, combining wall systems, frame systems, and internal functional systems. Wall materials are primarily metal panels or composites with anti-corrosion treatments; the frame system consists of lightweight steel for stable support. The internal functional system uniformly plans spatial divisions, including sinks and sanitation areas, with standardized dimensions and positions. Ventilation equipment uses low-energy forced exhaust systems, while the water supply system offers both municipal water and independent storage tank options. Flushing systems generally employ pneumatic or electric controls, with some featuring automatic water volume adjustment.

Cleaning and Waste Disposal Procedures: Solid waste is collected in dedicated containers for sealed transportation; liquid waste enters an integrated treatment unit for initial processing through biochemical or physical methods. Cleaning frequency and detergent composition are regulated to ensure hygiene standards while controlling chemical emissions.

Service Allocation and Intelligent Management: Relying on a backend data analysis system, sensors collect real-time usage status and resource consumption data, such as foot traffic and water/electricity usage. After data aggregation and analysis, it provides references for optimizing facility layout and maintenance scheduling, achieving rational resource allocation.
