Policy Support

In terms of policies, the Yichang Municipal Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau has organized the drafting of the "Revised Draft of the Calculation Rules for the Assembly Rate of Prefabricated Buildings in Yichang" to standardize the calculation of the assembly rate of prefabricated buildings. It has also issued a notice on adjusting the implementation requirements for prefabricated buildings. Starting from October 1, 2023, for specific real estate development projects that acquire land use rights within the planned areas of Yichang's central city and county-level city urban areas, the proportion of above-ground prefabricated building area shall not be less than 40% of the total above-ground building area. From June 1, 2024, relevant civil and industrial buildings shall also adhere to this proportion. Projects that genuinely require adjustments to the implementation proportion shall follow a "case-by-case" review system, providing strong policy support for the development of prefabricated assembly-type housing.
