Mobile Toilets in Yanqing Winter Olympics Village

The mobile toilets in Yanqing Winter Olympics Village adopted the mobile ecological toilet cabins co-developed by Engelbaier and China Communications Mobo, as well as the waterless and non-flush biological toilets from Gansu Zhangye Lanbiao Biotechnology Co., Ltd., to meet the event requirements.

Mobile Ecological Toilet Cabins Co-developed by Engelbaier and China Communications Mobo

• Full-scenario Modular Design: Adapted to the special environment of the Winter Olympics, these cabins are integrated through container-style modules. Each mobile toilet unit is equipped with a specially designed sewage treatment unit for on-the-spot treatment upon use.
• Efficient Sewage Treatment: Only connected to a water supply for hand washing, the generated sewage and waste are separated into solids and liquids in the equipment room. Solids are collected into storage drums, while liquids are purified through a biological treatment unit to meet national effluent standards. Some of the treated water is used for self-circulating flushing of the toilets, and some for watering the surrounding greenery.
• Advanced Treatment to Ensure Water Quality: For the special environment of the Winter Olympics, an advanced treatment module is equipped, using technologies such as the biofilm method to further treat the effluent from the biological treatment unit, achieving the A standard of the "Beijing Municipal Discharge Standard of Water Pollutants for Municipal Wastewater Treatment Plants".
• Low-temperature Adaptation and Recyclability: These cabins feature aerospace-technology internal insulation walls and smart air conditioners that automatically adjust the temperature to operate at 10 degrees Celsius. After the event, they can be fully recycled and reused. Engelbaier provided a total of 24 ecological toilet circulation and treatment cabins for the skiing venues of the Winter Olympics.

Waterless and Non-flush Biological Toilets from Gansu Zhangye Lanbiao Biotechnology Co., Ltd.

• Waterless and Non-flush with Convenient Operation and Maintenance: These toilets require no water and no back-end treatment or sludge removal and transportation. A total of 28 units (sets) of these toilets were selected for the National Alpine Skiing Center in the Yanqing competition area. During the event, only three personnel were needed to successfully complete the operation and maintenance support requirements, reducing the workload of hundreds of people, maximally meeting the closed-loop management requirements, and saving labor and material costs.
• Efficient Microbial Degradation: Using world-leading microbial degradation technology, excreta enters the biological bin through the internal mechanical device of the toilet. The special high-temperature treatment process in the biological bin can quickly raise the temperature to above 60-70 degrees Celsius, accelerating the decomposition speed, improving the treatment efficiency, and killing pathogenic microorganisms.
• Biological Deodorization and Resource Conversion: A biological deodorizing agent is designed and constructed for deodorization. The waste can be converted into organic fertilizer by replacing the biological bacteria only once a year.
