Yangzhou CIMC Container Houses
Yangzhou CIMC has strong results in container houses, with solid R&D, production, and project delivery capability.

On large projects, Yangzhou CIMC has a strong record. The CIMC Yangzhou base won multiple camp-housing projects for mining giant Rio Tinto in Australia. The JERRIWAN camp project contract exceeded $9,110,278. At the end of 2022 it also won the ROCKLEA double-story camp project and the Punurunha accommodation camp project, with combined contract value of $15,277,778. From late 2022 to date, camp-project order contracts with Rio Tinto have totaled over $23,611,111. These projects show Yangzhou CIMC’s market competitiveness in container houses and its ability to meet high standards of major international clients for camp housing.
On technology innovation, Yangzhou CIMC also stands out. Yangzhou CIMC Intelligent Equipment Co., Ltd., China International Marine Containers (Group) Co., Ltd., and CIMC Containers (Group) Co., Ltd. jointly applied for and were granted a “modular box house” patent. The modular box house is mainly for living; its design focus is a distinctive form. The patent reflects Yangzhou CIMC’s innovation and technical strength in container house design and opens new ideas for living experience and function expansion.
Yangzhou CIMC also takes part in major international projects. A Yangzhou enterprise (with CIMC Yangzhou Tongli Refrigerated Container Co., Ltd. participating) custom-built modular integrated houses for Brazil’s rebuilt Antarctic research station. The Brazilian Antarctic Station’s main building area is 4,500㎡, made of modular houses from 226 standard containers, divided into east, west, and technical zones, with labs, equipment rooms, a library, and living/recreation facilities. The project shows Yangzhou CIMC’s design and build capability for container houses in extreme environments and its ability to meet diverse needs in special scenes.
