Prefabricated Assembly-Type Housing in Xinzheng City
The field of prefabricated assembly-type housing in Xinzheng City is developing vigorously, with a concentration of enterprises and significant growth in projects.
At the enterprise level, Xinzheng City has formed an industrial landscape with diverse participants. As a core enterprise, Zhongyuan Jiangang Construction Technology Co., Ltd. has produced approximately 120,000 m³ of PC components and supported the construction of about 900,000 m² of prefabricated buildings since its commissioning in 2018. It holds 22 utility model patents, and its three automated production lines cover mainstream products such as prefabricated wall panels and composite slabs, with technological capabilities ranking among the top in the province. The project of Zhengzhou Chenhengyan Prefabricated Construction Technology Co., Ltd., which aims to produce 300,000 m² of prefabricated floor trusses annually, entered the environmental impact assessment approval stage in 2024. Its products focus on carbon fiber-reinforced non-removable bottom-form steel bar truss floor trusses, filling a gap in the regional market. Although Henan First Construction Group Xinzheng Prefabricated Construction Co., Ltd. was deregistered in 2025, its early explorations in residential industrialization technology research and development, production, and sales have accumulated experience for the industry.
At the project level, prefabricated construction in Xinzheng City is experiencing explosive growth. In the first quarter of 2026, there were 27 prefabricated projects in the city at the stages of construction preparation and bidding, of which 19 explicitly adopted prefabricated structures or PC components, covering four major areas: education, healthcare, industrial support, and resettlement communities. For example, the Xinzheng **** Experimental School project applies ALC wall panels, integrated bathroom modules, and other components; the second-phase ward building of the **** Central Hospital adopts a combined assembly technology of steel structure and composite slabs; the standardized factory building in the **** Industrial Park mainly uses a "steel frame + prefabricated stairs + composite floor slabs" system; and the 12 high-rise residential buildings in the **** Community are constructed according to Grade A prefabricated standards, with a prefabrication rate of ≥50%. These projects not only demonstrate technological diversity but also reflect the upgrading trend of prefabricated construction from single structures to integrated systems.
At the policy level, Xinzheng City benefits from the strong promotion by Henan Province and Zhengzhou City. Starting from December 2025, Zhengzhou City mandates the use of prefabricated construction for all affordable housing, government-invested public buildings, and commercial residential projects with an area of over 30,000 m² within its entire jurisdiction, directly stimulating market demand. In 2026, the newly started prefabricated building area in Henan Province exceeded 28.5 million m², and the number of projects in Xinzheng City has grown at an average annual rate of 36.2% over the past three years, far exceeding the provincial average and becoming a regional growth pole.
