Xinyang Container House Materials

Admin September 10, 2026

Container house materials in Xinyang mainly include the main structure, envelope system, flooring, roofing, doors and windows, and other auxiliary materials, as follows:

1. Main structural materials The main structure uses Q235B hot-dip galvanized square tubing, with columns sized 80×80×2.5mm. Hot-dip galvanizing forms a dense zinc layer on the surface that effectively prevents steel corrosion and extends service life. The high strength of the square tube (Q235B yield strength ≥235MPa) ensures the container house’s load-bearing capacity, resisting wind, snow, and other natural loads while meeting modular assembly requirements.

2. Envelope system materials The envelope centers on 75-100mm thick rock wool or glass wool sandwich panels, with a fire rating of Class A (non-combustible), meeting building fire codes. Thermal conductivity is ≤0.04W/(m·K); this low conductivity significantly improves thermal insulation and reduces energy use. Sandwich panels consist of two metal skins (such as color-coated steel) bonded to a rock wool/glass wool core, combining light weight with high strength for fast installation.

3. Flooring materials Floors use a multi-layer composite: 12mm cement fiberboard as the base for a flat, solid support; a moisture barrier film in the middle to block ground moisture; and a 2mm PVC floor surface that is wear-resistant and easy to clean. A galvanized steel bracket underneath elevates the floor 100mm, creating a moisture-proof cavity so ground dampness does not contact the floor directly, extending service life.

4. Roofing materials Roofs are finished with SBS waterproof membrane and 0.6mm color-coated steel sheet. The SBS membrane is hot-melt applied to form a seamless waterproof layer against rain penetration; the coated steel resists corrosion and extends roof life. Some roofs reserve PV panel mounting positions for renewable energy; rainwater collection gutters support water recycling.

5. Door and window materials Doors and windows use thermal-break aluminum alloy frames with 5+12A+5 insulating glass. The thermal break interrupts heat conduction and lowers energy use; insulating glass (two 5mm panes with a 12mm air gap) further improves sound and thermal performance, while sealing gaskets ensure airtightness and living comfort.

6. Other auxiliary materials

  • Sealing and pest control: EPDM rubber seals between the floor and frame; drain holes and rodent mesh at the wall base to prevent water backup and pest intrusion.
  • Corrosion protection: Extra anti-corrosion coating on the bottom of the unit against ground moisture and chemical corrosion.
  • Module connections: Dedicated sealing strips and locking systems for tight module joints and overall stability.
  • Feature upgrades: Some products add fresh-air systems (indoor air quality) and underfloor heating pipes (winter heating efficiency) for diverse needs.
