Xinjiang Tianchi Portable Toilets

Admin September 23, 2026

Xinjiang Tianchi Scenic Area has taken measures such as introducing intelligent eco-friendly portable toilets, planning to purchase ecological portable toilets, and reasonably distributing portable toilets.

Introduction of intelligent eco-friendly portable toilets: Tianchi Scenic Area has invested 2.7 million yuan to introduce two intelligent toilets. One has a configuration of '9 2', and the other has a configuration of '14 4 1'. They include 9 and 14 squatting stalls respectively, 2 and 4 urinal stalls respectively, and 1 third toilet. These toilets use the most stable negative-pressure vacuum equipment in China. Each flush uses only 0.6 milliliters of water, which not only achieves significant water-saving effects but also the negative-pressure vacuum equipment can simultaneously suck away odors, keeping the air inside the toilets fresh. The collected sewage and feces can also be used as agricultural fertilizers, realizing the recycling of resources, reducing sewage discharge, and reflecting the concept of environmental protection.

Purchase project of ecological portable toilets: The Xinjiang Tianchi Management Committee issued a public tender announcement on August 15, 2026, for the purchase of 10 ecological portable toilets. This move indicates the scenic area's continuous investment in the construction of portable toilets, aiming to further improve the level of tourism service facilities in the scenic area and meet the growing demand of tourists for toilets. Ecological portable toilets usually have characteristics such as being eco-friendly, energy-saving, and easy to move, and can better adapt to changes in tourist traffic in different areas of the scenic area.

Toilet distribution: The toilets in the main scenic area of Tianchi are reasonably distributed. Eco-friendly toilets, some of which are portable or fixed, are set up at crowded places such as the lakeside footpath, viewing platforms, and piers. For example, there is a toilet about 200 meters west of the cruise ship pier; simple toilets, some of which may be portable, are also set up along the halfway point of the hiking route on the lakeside footpath (such as near Feilongtan or Mayashan Cable Car Station). This distribution ensures that tourists can easily find toilets during their tours, enhancing the touring experience.
