Types of Mobile Toilets in Xinjiang

Admin September 24, 2026

The main types of mobile toilets in Xinjiang include Apple Warehouse Mobile Toilets, Corrugated Board Mobile Toilets, Smart Art Public Toilets, and Standardized Mobile Toilets, with differences in functionality, materials, and applicable scenarios among each type.

Apple Warehouse Mobile Toilets are widely used modular sanitation facilities in Xinjiang, with core advantages of short construction periods, controllable costs, and the ability to be relocated and reused as a whole. This type of toilet adopts a modular design, with internal configurations customizable according to needs, such as adding barrier-free facilities or energy-saving equipment, suitable for scenarios like tourist attractions, municipal sanitation, construction sites, and large-scale events. In response to Xinjiang's climatic characteristics, its design needs to enhance low-temperature adaptability (e.g., using insulation materials), wind-sand resistance and airtightness (e.g., optimizing door and window structures), and transportation and installation convenience (e.g., lightweight design) to meet long-term usage requirements in complex terrains.

Corrugated Board Mobile Toilets use galvanized corrugated boards as wall materials, featuring corrosion resistance and high strength, and support hand-painted decorative patterns, allowing integration with the landscape styles of campsites, theme parks, and other scenarios. For example, Dezhou Hongtu Metal Products Co., Ltd. once customized such products for a theme park in Xinjiang, enhancing environmental harmony through personalized appearances.

Smart Art Public Toilets represent the high-end development direction of mobile toilets in Xinjiang. Taking the "Empty Stone under the Tianshan Mountains" in Yili Nalati Scenic Area as an example, it adopts a boulder-like appearance and is equipped with smart sensing facilities (e.g., automatic flushing and lighting) and thermostatic handwashing stations, balancing artistry and functionality. Such toilets are mostly distributed in key tourist attractions, enhancing visitor experiences through innovative designs.

Standardized Mobile Toilets are an important measure for Xinjiang to improve the quality of tourist toilets. According to the "Three-Year Action Plan for Improving the Quality of Tourist Toilets in Xinjiang (2026-2028)", Xinjiang plans to build 47 new mobile toilets and conduct Class I and Class II quality assessments in accordance with national standards, leading overall service quality improvements through demonstration projects. This type of toilet emphasizes standardized construction, such as unified signage, reasonable layouts, and barrier-free facility configurations, to meet basic sanitation needs in public areas.
