Construction of Environmental Protection Mobile Toilets in Xinjiang

Admin October 02, 2026

The construction of environmental protection mobile toilets in Xinjiang covers multiple key aspects, including foundation treatment, modular installation, material application, piping systems, water-saving technologies, waste treatment, eco-friendly materials, energy supply, and ecological disturbance control.

Foundation treatment needs to be adjusted according to geological conditions: In sandy soil areas, a combination of concrete bases and ground anchors is used to prevent structural displacement; in permafrost zones, the foundation depth is increased to avoid instability caused by freeze-thaw cycles.

Modular prefabrication and installation are the core processes. The toilet structure is broken down into standardized components such as walls, roofs, and bases, which are manufactured in factories and then assembled on-site using snap-fit or bolt-on connectors, significantly reducing construction time. Connection reliability is ensured through structural sealing techniques, with closed-cell foam sealing strips filled in the joints and covered with weather-resistant sealant layers to accommodate Xinjiang's large temperature variations between day and night, preventing gaps caused by material expansion and contraction. The sealing material is a modified silicone rubber with high low-temperature elastic retention, ensuring flexibility even under severe winter cold.

In terms of lightweight material application, the color-coated steel walls use aluminum-zinc-coated steel sheets as the base material, with flame-retardant polyurethane foam sandwiched in between to form a composite structure. The weight per square meter is less than one-fourth of that of traditional brick-and-mortar structures, reducing reliance on heavy lifting equipment and facilitating transportation and installation in areas with poor traffic conditions.

The internal piping system adopts a split design, with sewage, ventilation, and water supply pipes prefabricated into independent modules in factories and connected on-site. The pipe material is high-density polyethylene, which has low expansion and contraction rates to prevent joint leakage caused by temperature changes. Faulty modules can be replaced individually during maintenance.

Water-saving technologies are achieved through pressure differential principles and inductive flow-limiting devices. The flushing system uses air pressure boosting instead of large volumes of water, with handwashing sinks limiting single-use water to under 0.5 liters. Some models collect handwashing wastewater for secondary flushing, forming an internal water circulation system that reduces water consumption by about 70% compared to traditional flush toilets. Vacuum collection devices further reduce each flush to 0.5 - 0.8 liters, saving over 85% of water.

Waste treatment employs a combination of biodegradation and physical separation. Solid-liquid separation devices direct waste into different treatment zones, with solids accelerated in decomposition by microbial agents and liquids filtered through multiple stages for non-potable use. Microbial decomposition technology achieves an organic waste conversion rate of over 90%, with the end product usable as a soil amendment for desert vegetation restoration.

Regarding eco-friendly materials and recyclability, the color-coated steel sheets have surface coatings that use photocatalytic materials to decompose pollutants, and solar panels are installed on the roof for power supply. The steel has a recycling rate of over 95%, and the polyurethane filler can be reprocessed into chemical raw materials, reducing the occupation of land resources by construction waste.
