There are some prefabricated panel houses in Xichang that were built in the 1980s, such as some houses of Meiri Company on Xincun Haibin Road, which were built in 1987 or 1988 and have a brick-concrete prefabricated panel structure. Due to their long construction time, these houses have encountered many problems. Severe roof leakage may be caused by aging roof materials, damaged waterproof layers, etc. This not only affects the normal lives of residents but may also cause damage to the house structure. Blocked sewage pipes prevent the normal discharge of sewage, which can easily breed bacteria and cause odors, affecting the living environment. Aging wires pose safety hazards and may trigger fires and other accidents. Water pipe leakage wastes water resources and may also affect the walls and floors of the house.
In response to these issues, relevant departments and enterprises have taken some measures. The housing and urban-rural development department has taken the lead in renovating sewage pipes and environmental issues, improving the living environment of residents. The custody center has carried out septic tank cleaning, sewage ditch dredging, and water and power supply network maintenance, ensuring the basic functionality of the houses. Regarding roof leakage, it is recommended that property owners stop roof planting, as planting may damage the roof structure and worsen the leakage situation. If repair funds are to be used, they must be approved by the prefectural housing and urban-rural development department as meeting the usage standards before being used according to regulations.
Regarding demolition, since these houses are privately owned by residents and the area is not currently involved in renovation or construction projects, there will be no demolition in the short term. If residents have a need for reconstruction on the original site, they need to report to the management enterprise, Liangshan Development Asset Management Co., Ltd., for handling.
