Xiangyang Packaged Mobile Toilet

Admin September 21, 2026

The Xiangyang packaged mobile toilet is a mobile sanitation facility that achieves independent encapsulation of excreta through physical sealing and chemical stabilization technologies, eliminating the need for pipeline infrastructure. Its technical features, service models, and applicable scenarios are as follows:

1. Core Technical Principles
The core component of the packaged toilet is an automatic packaging device that uses high-strength polyethylene film tubes. After each flush, mechanical structures pull the film to wrap the excreta into independent units and isolate aerosol diffusion and visual contact through fuse-sealing technology. The film employs a multi-layer co-extrusion process, with an inner layer featuring an anti-permeation coating that provides puncture resistance and microbial barrier properties. For chemical stabilization, the device injects a powder containing superabsorbent polymers and deodorizing enzymes before packaging: the superabsorbent polymers convert free water into a gel state to inhibit microbial activity; the deodorizing enzymes decompose ammonia and hydrogen sulfide through catalytic oxidation, enabling stable storage of the encapsulated units at room temperature for several weeks.

2. Rental Service Chain
After sealing, the encapsulated units are temporarily stored in a waste collection tank and transferred by rental agencies to compliant treatment plants using leak-proof cargo compartments and temperature-controlled transport vehicles. Transport must avoid sharp objects to prevent film damage. Treatment plants employ mechanical shredding and high-temperature incineration to completely decompose organic matter, with some facilities converting biomass into biogas through anaerobic digestion for resource utilization.

3. Equipment Design Adaptability
For outdoor scenarios with strong winds, uneven ground, and high-frequency usage, the toilet body is rotationally molded from high-density polyethylene, with an internal framework of galvanized steel pipes and adjustable support feet at the base. The flushing mechanism is replaced with an electric pump system using disinfectant instead of clean water to reduce liquid discharge. Redundant material design extends maintenance intervals, prioritizing engineering reliability.

4. Cost and Economic Logic
Total costs include equipment depreciation, consumable expenses, logistics transportation, and end-of-life disposal fees. Compared to traditional toilets, it saves on pipeline installation and wastewater treatment costs but increases consumable and transportation expenditures. In sparsely populated areas with extremely high pipeline infrastructure costs, the packaged toilet offers lower per-use costs; in densely populated areas, short transportation distances enhance its competitiveness.

5. Marathon Event Application
The Xiangyang Marathon utilizes waterless packaged toilets that require no external water supply, making them suitable for mid-course deployment. Each toilet can serve 50 to 60 users continuously, requiring dedicated personnel to replace packaging bags. Event planning should consider track length, runner flow, and physiological demand patterns, such as increasing toilet density in the 15-30 km range to match peak urination intervals.
