Wutang Mobile Toilet Renovation

Admin September 27, 2026

The renovation of mobile toilets in Wutang is primarily based on the rural toilet revolution project in Groups 6, 7, and 8 of Sucunpo, Wangzhu Village, Wutang Town, Xingning District. It adopts the 'Three Twos, No Power, Low Cost' model, achieving environmental improvement and cost optimization through the separation and resource utilization of black and gray wastewater.

I. Core Renovation Model and Technical Path
The project adopts the 'Three Twos, No Power, Low Cost' model, which involves the classification and treatment of wastewater through 'Two Pipes' (independent pipelines for blackwater and graywater), 'Two Ponds' (household septic tanks and centralized collection ponds), and 'Two Wetlands' (constructed wetlands and ecological wetlands). Blackwater (fecal wastewater) is pre-treated by household grease traps and then transported through dedicated pipelines to centralized collection ponds for anaerobic fermentation. Graywater (washing and bathing wastewater) is filtered through grit chambers and enters another collection system. The no-power design relies on terrain elevation differences to achieve natural wastewater flow, reducing mechanical energy consumption. The low-cost aspect is reflected in the use of local materials (such as gravel and plants) to construct constructed wetlands, where wastewater is purified through plant absorption and microbial degradation.

II. Key Facility Construction Contents

  1. Pipeline System: Independent pipelines for black and gray wastewater are laid to avoid cross-contamination. The pipeline material is HDPE, which is corrosion-resistant and aging-resistant, ensuring long-term stability.
  2. Pretreatment Devices: Household grease traps intercept grease and large particles, reducing the load on subsequent treatment processes. Grit chambers remove sand and sediment from graywater through gravity settling.
  3. Centralized Treatment Facilities: Blackwater centralized collection ponds (with volumes designed according to the number of households) and graywater collection ponds are constructed, equipped with aeration devices to promote aerobic microbial activity and accelerate organic matter decomposition.
  4. Constructed Wetlands: Designed without standing water, these wetlands further purify wastewater through the filtration and adsorption effects of gravel layers and planting layers (such as calamus and reeds). The effluent meets agricultural irrigation standards.

III. Project Implementation and Assurance
The project was awarded to Guangxi Jingran Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd., with a contract amount of 921,014.59 yuan and a construction period of 90 calendar days. The construction includes pipeline laying, equipment installation, wetland construction, and commissioning and acceptance to ensure stable system operation. Acceptance criteria include wastewater discharge compliance rate, equipment integrity rate, and user satisfaction. After passing the acceptance, the project is delivered for use, with a professional team providing post-maintenance guidance.
