Wuhan Trailer-mounted Mobile Toilet

Admin October 07, 2026

Customizing a trailer-mounted mobile toilet in Wuhan requires engineering considerations in terms of chassis, sewage circulation system, wall materials, ventilation system, etc. Meanwhile, several enterprises can provide customization services.

Chassis Design: Wuhan experiences heavy rainfall in summer, and some areas have low-lying terrain. The chassis needs to be made of hot-dip galvanized steel frames to resist corrosion in humid environments. The load-bearing design should involve stress calculations based on the actual positions of the toilet's internal water tank, septic tank, and equipment weights. For example, if a 1000-liter freshwater tank is placed at the front of the trailer, the thickness of the chassis longitudinal beams needs to be increased from the conventional 6 millimeters to 8 millimeters. The choice of trailer axle spacing affects maneuverability. In the mountainous areas of western Hubei, an axle spacing of less than 3 meters facilitates driving on narrow village roads. In the Jianghan Plain, a long axle spacing (over 4.5 meters) enhances straight-line driving stability and reduces the risk of side-tilting during emergency braking.

Sewage Circulation System: Unlike the direct discharge pipes of fixed toilets, trailer-mounted mobile toilets are equipped with an independent sewage circulation system consisting of a solid-liquid separation tank, a microbial degradation tank, and a freshwater recovery device. The solid-liquid separation tank uses cyclone separation technology. The anaerobic bacteria in the microbial degradation tank can decompose organic pollutants into carbon dioxide and water at temperatures between 25 and 35℃, reducing the volume of residues by more than 70%. The degraded liquid passes through a 15-centimeter-thick activated carbon filter layer to adsorb odor molecules and is finally reused for toilet flushing, with a circulation rate of approximately 85% of the daily water consumption. Since winter temperatures in Hubei can drop below 0℃, heat tracing tapes need to be wrapped around the outer walls of the pipes to prevent the liquid from freezing and causing system failure.

Wall Materials: They need to meet both lightweight and weather-resistant requirements. Commonly used fiberglass-reinforced plastic (FRP) panels are resistant to acid and alkali corrosion but have a high thermal conductivity. In Wuhan's hot and humid summers, when customizing, a 5-centimeter-thick polyurethane foam layer should be laminated on the inner side of the FRP panels to reduce thermal conductivity, and double-sided aluminum foil reflective films should be installed to block heat radiation. In mountainous areas such as Yichang and Enshi, butyl rubber sealing strips should be used at the wall joints to prevent rainwater from flowing backward and causing panel delamination. The hardware of the toilet door should be made of 304 stainless steel because the air humidity in Wuhan is often above 75%, and ordinary galvanized parts will develop rust spots within six months.

Ventilation System: Odor control in enclosed spaces relies on an active ventilation system. Conventionally, exhaust fans are installed on the top of the toilet. However, the prevailing wind direction in Wuhan in summer is southeast. If the exhaust outlet faces northwest, the exhaust efficiency will decrease due to air pressure differences.

Customization Enterprises: There are relevant enterprises in Wuhan that provide customization services for trailer-mounted mobile toilets, such as Wuhan Jintongchuang Technology Development Co., Ltd., which can offer full-process personalized services to meet different scenario requirements.
