Wuchang Railway Station Portable Toilet

There are no portable toilets at Wuchang Railway Station, but there are unique public toilets and smart public toilets. Here are the details:

Uniquely Designed Public Toilet
There is a uniquely designed public toilet inside Wuchang Railway Station, with a layout different from that of conventional public toilets. After entering from the entrance, travelers need to keep climbing stairs, and there is another floor after finishing one. This unconventional design has once confused some travelers, making them think they have gone to the wrong place. Although the special design of this public toilet has sparked discussions, it has also become a relatively unique facility within Wuchang Railway Station.

Smart Public Toilet
A smart public toilet was officially put into use at the west square of Wuchang Railway Station in January 2025. It is an important part of the aging-friendly and child-friendly renovation project for urban public toilets in Wuchang District. This public toilet is equipped with multiple intelligent functions, providing travelers with a more convenient and comfortable toilet experience.

• Real-time Data Monitoring: Smart devices are installed inside the public toilet to display real-time operational data, including temperature, humidity, and usage frequency, enabling management personnel to promptly grasp the environmental conditions of the public toilet and make adjustments.
• Toilet Cubicle Status Display: Through ultrasonic human body sensing devices, the public toilet can monitor the usage status of each cubicle and display the real-time usage status and entry time of toilet users on the screen, facilitating travelers to quickly find available cubicles.
• Overtime Reminder Function: To ensure the safety of travelers, the public toilet has an overtime reminder mechanism. If someone stays in a cubicle for more than 20 minutes, the system will send text and voice reminders to prevent accidents.
• Humanized Facility Equipment: The public toilet is equipped with smart coat hangers, storage racks, and other facilities to facilitate travelers in placing their belongings. It also has an emergency one-touch call function to ensure that travelers can seek help promptly in case of emergencies.
• Urban驿站 Supporting Facilities: Next to the public toilet, there is also an 'Urban驿站' providing tables, chairs, water dispensers, microwaves, and other equipment, offering travelers a place to rest and communicate, further enhancing the service functions of the public toilet.
