Wild Container Classic House
Admin September 15, 2026
The wild container classic house is a residential building unit based on container modules, which is reusable and detachable after secondary design and system integration. Here are the details:

I. Structural Design
- Load-bearing Optimization: The traditional container has a large spacing between the longitudinal beams of the bottom frame, and directly using it as a living space would result in insufficient floor stiffness. Baotou Xinxing Color Plate Steel Structure Manufacturing Co., Ltd. adopts the method of adding C-shaped steel purlins between the bottom beams to evenly distribute the load to each main beam, enabling the container to maintain structural stability even when stacked three layers high.
- Anti-corrosion Treatment: After shot blasting and rust removal on the container surface, a layer of zinc-rich primer and polyurethane topcoat are sprayed. This protective system can maintain the effective service life of the steel for more than 15 years in the northwest wind and sand and temperature difference environment.
- Thermal Break Design: In response to the cold and hot bridge effect of the metal container wall, a thermal break lining structure is adopted, that is, hard polyurethane foam is filled between the steel frame and the inner wall panel, and rubber thermal insulation pads are installed at the keel connections, reducing the heat exchange efficiency between the inside and outside of the container by about 40%.
II. Functional Characteristics
- Environmental Protection: The core value of container houses lies in the full life cycle recycling of their materials. Each standard 20-foot container consumes about 1.2 tons of steel, and the carbon emissions of concrete and steel bars required for a one-time poured concrete temporary house of the same area are 2.3 times that of a container house. Moreover, container houses can be hoisted as a whole to a new site, with the disassembly and assembly loss rate controlled within 5%, significantly reducing the generation of construction waste.
- Adaptability: Container houses have strong stability and a long service life, suitable for being located on hillsides, hills, grasslands, deserts, riverbanks, etc., without occupying space.
- Integration: It integrates a self-circulating sewage system. For wild campsites without water and electricity, a sewage collection tank and a gravity separator can be installed at the bottom of the container to treat gray water and black water separately.
