Wenquan County Mobile Toilet

Admin October 02, 2026

Wenquan County involves the procurement of systems related to mobile toilets in rural sewage and fecal treatment, primarily achieving sewage and fecal treatment through non-powered digestion technology, with relevant facilities falling within the scope of mobile toilet support.

Procurement Project Background and Content

In April 2026, Wenquan County issued a correction notice for the procurement project of non-powered digestion systems for rural sewage and fecal treatment (Taxiu Township section). The core procurement content includes two types of facilities:

  1. Digestion System: Made of HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene), with a length of 4000mm and an external connection pipe diameter of 200mm, a total of 199 sets were procured at a unit price of 1200 yuan. This system achieves preliminary sedimentation and decomposition of fecal matter through its physical structure, without requiring external power, making it suitable for the treatment of waste in decentralized rural toilets.
  2. Sewage Treatment Tank: Made of HDPE or fiberglass, with a volume of ≥2m³, a total of 199 sets were procured at a unit price of 7000 yuan. Its function is to further purify the sewage discharged from the digestion system, reducing pollutant content through natural sedimentation or biological degradation to ensure that the discharged water quality meets environmental protection standards.

Technical Characteristics and Application Scenarios

Non-powered digestion technology is the core of this project, utilizing gravity and microbial decomposition to achieve the reduction and harmlessness of fecal matter. HDPE material offers advantages such as corrosion resistance, aging resistance, and strong sealing properties, enabling long-term stable operation; fiberglass material is characterized by its lightweight, high strength, and chemical corrosion resistance, making it suitable for regions with complex geological conditions. The combined use of these two types of facilities covers the complete chain from toilet waste collection to terminal treatment, particularly suitable for rural areas lacking centralized sewage networks and with insufficient power supply.

Project Significance and Promotional Value

The practice in Wenquan County provides a low-cost and easy-to-maintain solution for rural sewage and fecal treatment. The non-powered system does not require electricity or mechanical components, reducing operational and maintenance costs; its modular design facilitates rapid installation and expansion, allowing flexible adaptation to the needs of villages of different sizes. Additionally, by clarifying specifications and prices through public bidding, the project provides a reference standard for other regions procuring similar facilities, contributing to the standardization and large-scale development of the rural toilet revolution.
