Waterless Packing Mobile Toilet Maintenance

Admin October 12, 2026

The maintenance of waterless packing mobile toilets should be carried out according to the specific type of fault, mainly involving components such as the packing device, structural appearance, door locks and hinges, and ventilation system.

Packing Device Maintenance

The packing device is the core component of waterless flushing toilets. It consists of a biodegradable film packaging bag, a movement mechanism, a toilet seat, a housing, and a feces storage box. There are two types: mechanical packing and automatic packing. If incomplete packing or failure to pack occurs, the status of the movement mechanism should be checked first:

  • Mechanical Packing: Check whether the transmission gears are worn and whether the springs are失效 (ineffective). Clear any stuck film residues and replace the gears or springs if necessary.
  • Automatic Packing: Check the sensor sensitivity (e.g., whether the infrared sensor is blocked) and whether the motor is operating normally. If the motor is damaged, replace it with a motor of the same model.
  • Film Supply: Confirm whether the packaging bag is properly installed and whether it cannot be pulled out due to moisture-induced adhesion. Adjust the position of the feces storage box or replace it with a dry film.

Structural and Appearance Maintenance

If the mobile toilet's housing shows deformation or cracking, it should be handled according to the degree of damage:

  • Minor Cracks: Use special plastic welding materials for repair. After welding, sand it smooth and apply anti-rust paint.
  • Severe Deformation/Cracking: If it affects structural stability (e.g., housing tilting) or airtightness (e.g., rainwater leakage), replace the entire housing or damaged components (e.g., side panels, roof panels).

Door Lock and Hinge Fault Handling

Common problems with door locks and hinges include rust-induced jamming or structural damage:

  • Lubrication Maintenance: Regularly apply silicone-based lubricant to the hinge pivot points and lock cylinders to reduce metal friction and delay rusting.
  • Lock Replacement: If the internal spring of the lock cylinder is失效 (ineffective) (e.g., the key cannot turn), the lock tongue is stuck, or the housing is broken, it is recommended to replace the entire lock set directly to avoid a decrease in airtightness due to partial repairs.

Ventilation System Cleaning

A blocked ventilation opening can cause odor retention or internal moisture:

  • Regular Inspection: Clean leaves, dust, or insect nests from the ventilation opening grid using a soft-bristled brush or low-pressure air gun.
  • Insect Prevention Measures: Install a fine insect-proof net at the ventilation opening to prevent insects from entering while ensuring air circulation.
  • Fan Maintenance: If equipped with an exhaust fan, check whether the blades are covered with dust and whether the motor is overheating. Clean or replace the fan if necessary.

When performing maintenance, pay attention to safety. Turn off the power (for electric components) and wear protective gloves to avoid direct contact with fecal residues. If the fault exceeds the scope of simple maintenance (e.g., circuit board damage, severe housing corrosion), it is recommended to contact a professional maintenance team for handling.
