Water Tank Mobile Toilet

Admin September 23, 2026

A water tank mobile toilet is a type of mobile toilet equipped with a water tank for flushing and cleaning, belonging to the category of water-flush mobile toilets. It achieves fecal flushing and sewage discharge by storing water.

Structural Composition and Core Functions

A water tank mobile toilet typically consists of modules such as a fecal sewage storage tank, floor slab, sanitary ware (such as squat toilets or sit toilets), walls, washing equipment, a water tank, a roof, and a mobile device. The water tank is one of the core components, and its capacity directly affects the number of uses and maintenance cycles. For example, a single-unit steel-structured water-flush mobile toilet may use a vertical flush tank connected to a squat toilet via pipes. After using the toilet, the user presses the flush button, and the water in the tank flushes the toilet and discharges the feces into the storage tank or directly connects to the municipal sewage system. Some simple homemade models may be modified from water storage barrels, with a drain pipe installed through a hole at the bottom to form a floor drain, and a water pipe connected on the side for flushing.

Sewage Treatment Methods and Classification

According to sewage treatment technology, mobile toilets can be classified into water-flush types, waterless suction types, circulating water-flush types, and dry-pack types. Water tank mobile toilets usually fall into the water-flush category, relying on the clean water stored in the tank for flushing. They are suitable for scenarios with a water supply or high hygiene requirements. Their advantages include high cleanliness and good odor control, but they require regular water replenishment in the tank and cleaning of the storage tank. In contrast, waterless types rely on suction trucks to transport feces, circulating water-flush types reuse water resources through a filtration system, and dry-pack types use degradable bags to directly collect excreta, all without the need for a water tank for flushing.

Typical Application Scenarios and Cases

Water tank mobile toilets are widely used in temporary events, construction sites, tourist attractions, and other places. For example, a single-unit steel-structured model with a length and width of 1.2 meters each and a height of 3 meters features a metal carved panel exterior and bamboo-wood fiber interior wall panels, equipped with an aluminum alloy single door and a vertical flush tank, balancing durability and aesthetics. Another homemade case achieves basic functions by modifying a water storage barrel: a drain pipe is installed through a hole at the bottom of the barrel, a water pipe and showerhead are connected on the side, a small water storage device is installed on the top, the toilet is fixed above the drain outlet, the water tank is sealed and fixed with glass glue, and the drain pipe is connected to a sewage barrel, forming a simple but fully functional water-flush system. Such designs are highly flexible but require attention to sealing and stability to avoid leaks or structural looseness.
