Water-Flush Mobile Toilet Foundation

Admin September 24, 2026

The fundamental operating mechanism of water-flush mobile toilets revolves around enclosed sewage storage and hydraulic conveyance, with the core objective of simulating the functions of fixed sewage systems while enabling mobility.

1. Enclosed Sewage Storage and Hydraulic Conveyance Mechanism

Water-flush mobile toilets achieve closed management of excreta through integrated fecal storage tanks. Human excreta directly enter the enclosed space via the toilet bowl, avoiding contact with the external environment. The flushing system, which can be manually or sensor-triggered, uses water flow to clean the toilet bowl surface while simultaneously utilizing hydraulic force to push waste into the storage container below. This process ensures hygiene in the usage environment through physical isolation, reducing odor diffusion and the risk of pathogen transmission.

Key Design Features:

  • Enclosed Structure: The fecal storage tank adopts a fully enclosed design to prevent waste leakage or gas escape.
  • Hydraulic Flushing: The water pressure must be appropriately balanced to effectively clean the toilet bowl while pushing waste into the storage container without causing blockages.

2. Sewage Treatment Modes

Sewage treatment in water-flush mobile toilets falls into two main categories: on-site treatment and centralized collection and transportation:

  • On-Site Preliminary Treatment: Some designs employ filtration or sedimentation devices for solid-liquid separation. For example, multi-layer filters or inclined-plate sedimentation tanks are used to reduce the volume of solid matter and minimize odor generation. The separated liquid can be temporarily stored in an independent container, while the solid residue is compressed to save space.
  • Centralized Collection and Transportation Mode: A more common approach involves using detachable sewage storage tanks or connecting to sewage suction vehicles. Once the storage tank is full, it is transported by specialized vehicles to professional sewage treatment sites for biochemical (e.g., activated sludge process) or physicochemical (e.g., membrane separation, disinfection) treatment, ultimately meeting discharge or recycling standards.

Environmental Requirements:

  • Waste treatment must comply with regulations such as the Discharge Standard of Pollutants for Municipal Wastewater Treatment Plants (GB 18918), ensuring that indicators such as nitrogen, phosphorus, and Escherichia coli meet the standards.
  • Recycled water must meet the standards for reclaimed water reuse, which can be used for green irrigation or toilet flushing, achieving water resource recycling.

3. Mobility Implementation Methods

The "mobility" of water-flush mobile toilets relies on modular design and lightweight materials:

  • Structural Disassembly: Components such as the fecal storage tank, flushing system, and outer shell adopt standardized interfaces for easy and rapid assembly and disassembly.
  • Material Selection: High-strength plastics or aluminum alloys are used to reduce overall weight while ensuring structural stability, adapting to the handling requirements of different terrains.

Application Scenarios:

  • In temporary events (e.g., music festivals, exhibitions), the toilets can be quickly deployed as the venue changes.
  • In disaster relief situations, the modular design supports rapid construction to meet urgent sanitation needs.

Through the above mechanisms, water-flush mobile toilets ensure hygienic performance while achieving flexible mobility and environmentally friendly treatment, making them an important solution for modern public sanitation facilities.
