Functions of Vehicle-Mounted Mobile Toilets

Admin September 22, 2026

Currently, there are two main implementation forms for the functions of vehicle-mounted mobile toilets: integrated vehicle-mounted toilets and special-vehicle mobile toilets. The specific functions are as follows:

Integrated vehicle-mounted toilets, represented by the patent for 'vehicle-mounted commodes and vehicles' applied for by Seres, feature a sliding-rail retractable structure as their core design. The commode body is usually hidden beneath the driver's and passenger's seats. It can be pulled out for use with a single-button operation along the sliding rails and pushed back into place after use, maximizing space savings within the vehicle. In terms of functional configuration, it uses a 5L sealed waste collection tank for closed storage of excreta, preventing odor leakage; a negative-pressure deodorization system reduces odor concentration in the vehicle cabin through air circulation; and a constant-temperature heating function enhances comfort during winter use. Additionally, it is equipped with disposable commode bags to simplify the cleaning process and a foldable privacy curtain to protect user privacy, making it suitable for emergency toilet scenarios in family passenger vehicles.

Special-vehicle mobile toilets, exemplified by the Sinotruk Howo logistical support mobile toilet vehicle, are designed as high-capacity public toilet solutions. The interior of the vehicle is divided by gender and can simultaneously accommodate 8 users: the male area has 3 urinals, while the female area is equipped with 6 vacuum-suction squat toilets (made of 316 stainless steel) and 2 sit-down toilets, catering to different usage habits. In terms of auxiliary facilities, it is equipped with 2 sets of sinks, independent faucets, half-length mirrors, hand sanitizer, and tissue boxes to meet basic hygiene needs. The vehicle roof is made of anti-slip patterned aluminum plates and is equipped with a ladder for easy equipment maintenance. Both the male and female areas are installed with 1.5P air conditioners to regulate temperature, while the toilet area is equipped with an electric exhaust fan at the top to maintain air circulation. Each compartment is provided with independent lighting and coat hooks to enhance the user experience.

Both types of mobile toilets rely on collection and storage systems (vacuum suction or chemical degradation technology) to treat excreta. Some high-end models achieve water recycling through a water treatment system, reducing water consumption. In terms of power sources, they can either utilize the vehicle's electricity to drive the equipment or be equipped with built-in batteries to ensure independent operation, making them suitable for areas without fixed sewage pipe networks, such as field operations, emergency rescue, or temporary support for large-scale events.
