Mobile Commode for University Toilets
Currently, there is no mobile commode specifically designed for university toilets, but some folding or portable commode products may be suitable for university public restrooms or temporary scenarios. The following elaborates on three aspects: design features, applicable scenarios, and market products.

Design Features
Some innovative commode designs can meet the space optimization needs of university toilets. For example, the folding commode developed by students at the University of Huddersfield in the UK adopts a sliding hinge structure, which can be folded upwards for storage. When unfolded, it is similar in size to an ordinary commode, and when folded, it can save about two-thirds of the space, making it suitable for scenarios where university restrooms have limited space and require flexible layout adjustments. Its U-shaped drainpipe design reduces sewage residue, and the automatic flushing device is triggered by pressure sensing, using only 12.5 liters of water per flush, which is about 50% less water-efficient than traditional commodes, meeting the energy-saving and environmental protection requirements of university public facilities.
Applicable Scenarios
University toilets have diverse usage scenarios, and mobile commodes need to adapt to different needs. For the renovation of restrooms in old teaching buildings, folding commodes can solve the problem of insufficient space; for temporary events (such as sports meets, exam periods) or construction areas, portable commodes (such as products from brands like Yihui and Kangji) can be quickly deployed. Their armrest designs, non-slip bases, and load-bearing capacities (usually up to 100-150 kilograms) ensure usage safety; for accessible restrooms that need additional equipment, the height (about 40-45 centimeters) and backrest designs of some mobile commodes can meet the needs of people with mobility impairments.
Market Products
There are numerous brands of mobile commodes on the market, with different functional focuses. Yihui brand products mostly use PP material, are lightweight (about 5-8 kilograms), and are equipped with detachable bedpans and odor-proof lids, suitable for short-term use; some models of the Kangji brand support height adjustment (height range: 35-50 centimeters) and are paired with thickened cushions for better comfort; although the folding commode developed by British students has not been mass-produced, its modular design (such as detachable flushing devices) provides ideas for subsequent product optimization. In terms of price, ordinary portable commodes cost about 200-500 yuan, while folding commodes, due to their higher technical complexity, cost about 800-1500 yuan.
If universities have procurement needs, it is recommended to first evaluate restroom space, usage frequency, and budget, choose products that are structurally stable, easy to clean, and meet water-saving standards, and pay attention to after-sales services (such as part replacement and maintenance response).
