Unit Mobile Toilet

Admin October 13, 2026

A unit mobile toilet is a facility that can be moved as a whole and set up in fixed or temporary locations to provide toilet services for the public and customers.

I. Basic Components A unit mobile toilet typically consists of core components such as a fecal sewage storage tank (or fecal sewage treatment device), flooring, sanitary ware, walls, washing equipment, a water tank, a roof, and a mobile device. Among them, the fecal treatment system is crucial. Water-flush toilets rely on the water tank for water supply, while non-water-flush toilets collect excreta through dry packing or suction methods. The mobile device (such as wheels or lifting structures) ensures its transportability. The walls and roof provide privacy protection and protection against wind and rain.

II. Classification Methods

  1. By structural form: They are divided into single-unit structures (independent units suitable for small-scale needs) and composite structures (multiple units combined, which can be expanded into multiple toilet stalls or include additional shower rooms).
  2. By mobility method: They include lifting and handling types (requiring forklifts or manual handling) and powered towing types (which can be towed by vehicles for movement), adapting to different terrains and transportation conditions.
  3. By sewage treatment method:
    • Water-flush and non-water-flush suction types: Water-flush toilets rely on the water tank for flushing, while non-water-flush toilets collect excreta through vacuum suction or gravity and require regular removal.
    • Recirculating water-flush type: Equipped with a sewage treatment system, it purifies wastewater for reuse, saving water resources.
    • Dry packing type: It uses biodegradable bags to collect excreta, requiring no water source, and is suitable for water-scarce or environmentally demanding scenarios.

III. Core Features

  1. Mobility: Through modular design or mobile devices, it can be quickly deployed to temporary events, disaster relief sites, construction sites, etc., and used repeatedly.
  2. Flexible combination: It supports the combination of single or multiple toilet stalls and can even integrate functions such as showers and hand-washing sinks to meet diverse needs.
  3. Environmental adaptability: Depending on the sewage treatment method chosen, it can reduce environmental pollution. For example, the dry packing type has no sewage discharge, and the recirculating water-flush type reduces water consumption.

IV. Application Scenarios Unit mobile toilets are widely used in temporary or semi-permanent locations such as outdoor music festivals, sports events, construction sites, and tourist attractions. Their convenience and adaptability effectively solve the problems of the strong fixed nature and long construction period of traditional toilets.
