Types of Mobile Toilets

Admin September 21, 2026

Mobile toilets can be mainly divided into the following types:

Based on structural form, mobile toilets can be categorized into single-unit mobile toilets and composite-structure mobile toilets. Single-unit structures typically refer to independent unit designs, suitable for scenarios with limited space or dispersed layouts; composite structures are composed of multiple units, meeting larger-scale usage demands.

Based on mobility, they can be divided into lifting and handling mobile toilets and powered and trailer-mounted mobile toilets. Lifting types require equipment such as cranes for handling, suitable for locations that are fixed for long periods but require relocation, such as construction sites; trailer types come with wheels or towing devices and can be moved by vehicles, commonly used for large events or temporary exhibitions.

Based on sewage treatment methods, there is a wide variety of types, including flush and non-flush suction types, recirculating flush types, waterless bagging types, traditional flush types, foam sealing types, and microbial degradation types. Flush and suction types achieve cleanliness through water tanks and sewage pipes; recirculating flush types reuse water resources through filtration systems; waterless bagging types collect waste using degradable bags; foam sealing types reduce odors by covering with foam; microbial degradation types decompose waste through biotechnology, highlighting environmental friendliness.

Based on materials, common types include plastic toilets, color-steel toilets, fiberglass-reinforced plastic toilets, and tent-style toilets. Plastic toilets are lightweight and cost-effective; color-steel toilets have a sturdy structure, suitable for long-term use; fiberglass-reinforced plastic toilets are highly corrosion-resistant; tent-style toilets are characterized by quick setup, suitable for emergency scenarios.

Based on functions and applicable scenarios, they can be divided into standard mobile restrooms (basic configurations, suitable for construction sites and short-term exhibitions), flush-equipped mobile restrooms (for sports events and music festivals with high hygiene requirements), eco-friendly mobile restrooms (for ecological tourism areas and parks), smart mobile restrooms (for high-end commercial areas and transportation hubs), simple mobile toilets (for short-term construction sites and small events), luxury mobile toilets (for high-end hotels and large exhibitions), special-function mobile toilets (such as barrier-free, mother-and-baby-specific, and shower-equipped types), and liftable mobile toilets (for locations that require long-term fixation but may need relocation).
