Mobile Toilets on Transport Aircraft
There are differences in the mobile toilet situations on different transport aircraft. Some transport aircraft have fixed toilets, while others temporarily add toilets to meet demands.

Yun-20: Originally, a fixed toilet was installed at the front of the cargo hold, although no specific images have been released. When undertaking certain personnel transportation tasks, the fixed toilet originally intended for the crew and loading/unloading personnel may not be sufficient. In such cases, temporary toilets are added, a practice that is also common on large foreign transport aircraft. The ability to temporarily add toilets allows for flexible adjustments based on different transportation tasks and the number of personnel, better meeting the physiological needs of those on board.
A400M Large Transport Aircraft: Its toilet layout is relatively reasonable. There is a sink on the left side for easy cleaning by those on board, and two toilets on the right side to meet the needs of multiple people using them simultaneously, improving usage efficiency and reducing waiting times.
US-made C-130 Medium Transport Aircraft: This transport aircraft is equipped with a toilet, reflecting its consideration of the basic physiological needs of those on board in its design and providing convenience for the crew and passengers on long flights.
Japanese C-2 Transport Aircraft: It has a fixed toilet. While its overall performance is average, its toilet and kitchen designs are modeled after those of civil aviation passenger aircraft. This design concept enables the C-2 transport aircraft to not only fulfill basic military transportation functions but also pay attention to the quality of life of those on board, enhancing usage comfort.
Early aircraft designs were relatively crude, with no concept of toilets. Bombers were only equipped with crude temporary toilets, and pilots would rather endure than use them. Later, to address the physiological needs of pilots, solutions evolved from the initial urine bags to the development of various high-tech underwear today. Urine bags are flexible plastic bags containing special chemicals that can quickly convert liquid into gel, with a capacity of 500 milliliters. However, female pilots face greater challenges due to flight suit design limitations, and many choose to wear adult diapers. These development processes reflect the continuous exploration and improvement in the aviation field to meet the needs of those on board.
