Temporary Housing at Archaeological Sites
The Hangzhou Municipal Institute of Cultural Heritage and Archaeology uses containers as temporary dormitories near archaeological sites in Tonglu. These containers have been internally renovated to include simple desks, green plants, and archaeological-themed decorations, serving as "mobile dormitories" and extended workspaces for archaeologists. Despite environmental challenges such as summer heat and winter cold, through team support and functional optimization, container houses effectively address accommodation issues for field archaeological work while accommodating needs for work discussions and data organization, demonstrating their adaptability in special scenarios.
