Tongjiang Container House Installation

Admin September 17, 2026

The installation of container houses in Tongjiang City should follow the following steps and precautions:

I. Site and Foundation Preparation

  1. Site Selection: Ensure the site is flat, dry, and well-drained, avoiding low-lying or easily waterlogged areas. Clear debris and measure the site dimensions, then determine the foundation type (such as concrete, steel, or timber foundations) based on design requirements.
  2. Foundation Treatment: Given the geological conditions in Tongjiang City, which may include permafrost or soft soil layers, use non-soil materials (such as concrete) to pour the foundation and design a waterproof isolation layer to prevent moisture penetration. The foundation should have pre-drilled bolt holes or welding points to ensure a secure connection with the container bottom.
  3. Moisture and Seismic Protection: Lay a moisture-proof membrane at the contact surface between the foundation and the container, and consider adding shock-absorbing pads to cope with geological activities or temperature variations.

II. On-Site Adjustment and Frame Construction

  1. Positioning and Leveling: Use a level to adjust the installation direction and levelness of the container, ensuring the tilt is controlled within 1% to prevent structural deformation due to uneven ground.
  2. Frame Installation: If the design is a modular structure, first erect columns and beams to form a load-bearing frame, then secure the steel columns to the foundation. The frame joints should be firmly welded or connected with high-strength bolts.

III. Container Installation and Connection

  1. Pre-treatment and Handling: Cut, drill holes, or reinforce the container as needed according to the design requirements, and use a crane to move it to the designated location. Avoid collisions during handling to prevent deformation of the container body.
  2. Fixing and Connection: Secure the container bottom to the foundation with bolts or welding, and connect adjacent containers with steel plates or bolts, ensuring the central axes are aligned to maintain overall structural stability.

IV. Roof and Exterior Wall Facility Installation

  1. Exterior Facilities: Install doors, windows, roof panels, skylights, and rainwater pipes, fixing and sealing the interfaces according to design requirements to prevent leakage.
  2. Interior Decoration: Use moisture-proof materials (such as PVC panels, moisture-proof paint) for walls, floors, and ceilings, and plan the layout of circuits and pipes reasonably, reserving inspection ports.

V. Safety and Environmental Protection Measures

  1. Construction Safety: Wear safety helmets and protective shoes during installation, and set up safety supports and protective nets to prevent falling objects or personnel falls.
  2. Environmental Control: Reduce dust pollution by sprinkling water during construction, and classify and dispose of waste to avoid contaminating soil or water sources.

VI. Inspection and Maintenance

  1. Inspection Standards: Check the stability of the house, electrical insulation, and pipe sealing to ensure no leakage or short-circuit problems.
  2. Regular Maintenance: Inspect the container connection points, roof waterproof layer, and moisture-proof measures every six months, and replace aging components promptly to extend the service life.

Precautions: Tongjiang City experiences cold winters, so enhance the insulation design of the container (such as adding insulation layers); in summer, ensure the drainage system is unobstructed to prevent water accumulation from corroding the structure.
