Tongchuan Mobile Toilet Practices

Admin October 05, 2026

The general practices for mobile toilets typically cover structural design, modular assembly, internal configuration, and transportation and installation. Although specific practices unique to Tongchuan have not been identified, general technologies can provide references.

The core structure of a mobile toilet consists of a fecal wastewater storage tank (or disposal unit), flooring, walls, roof, sanitary fixtures, water tank, and mobility device. Among these, the fecal wastewater storage tank is a critical component that must be sealed to prevent leakage and odor diffusion. Some high-end models are equipped with biodegradation or chemical treatment units for on-site wastewater purification. The flooring should be made of slip-resistant and easy-to-clean materials, such as stainless steel or slip-resistant tiles, to ensure safety during use. Walls and roofs are typically constructed from lightweight, heat-insulating, and waterproof composite panels, such as color-coated steel sheets or aluminum-plastic panels, balancing strength and portability.

Modular design is the mainstream concept for modern mobile toilets. The main frame is welded or bolted together in a factory to form a steel structural skeleton, which is then enclosed with composite panels to create a closed space. Internal decoration, plumbing systems (including inlet and outlet pipes and wastewater tanks), and electrical systems (lighting and ventilation equipment) are all pre-installed in the factory, reducing on-site construction time. For example, the frame of an integrated mobile toilet often uses high-strength steel pipe welding to ensure stability during transportation and lifting, while internal fixtures such as toilets, squat pans, and washbasins are customized according to needs. Some models are also equipped with air conditioning or heating devices to adapt to extreme climates.

Transportation and installation require consideration of the adaptability of the mobility device. Small mobile toilets may be equipped with wheels or towing hooks for easy manual pushing or vehicle towing; larger models require forklifts or cranes for overall lifting. During installation, ensure the ground is level, and adjust the feet or shims to keep the toilet horizontal while connecting the inlet and outlet pipes (if connected to the municipal system). Some waterless mobile toilets do not require an external water source and rely on fecal storage tanks or biodegradation technology for self-circulation, further simplifying the installation process.
