Toilet Sliding Door Renovation Plan Diagram

Admin October 10, 2026

Currently, there is no direct renovation plan diagram for toilet sliding doors, but the following renovation ideas and plan descriptions can be used as references:

Sliding Door for Space Optimization and Storage
If the bathroom space is limited, space reorganization can be achieved by moving the position of the sliding door. For example, move the bathroom door 60 centimeters to one side and install a wall-mounted toilet against the wall in the freed-up space. The toilet's water tank is hidden inside the wall, saving floor space. A full-length storage cabinet can be customized above the toilet, with a recommended depth of 30-40 centimeters, for storing daily necessities such as toilet paper and cleaning supplies. An open shelf can be set up below the toilet, with a height of about 20-30 centimeters, for placing frequently used items like slippers and trash cans. This plan requires attention to the load-bearing structure of the wall; only non-load-bearing walls can be used for moving the door.

Sliding Door as a Bathroom Partition
Glass sliding doors are an ideal partition choice for small bathrooms. Made of tempered glass with a recommended thickness of 8-10 millimeters, they can be paired with aluminum alloy or stainless steel frames to enhance stability. The sliding door tracks need to be embedded in the ceiling or floor to ensure smooth opening and closing. Transparent glass maintains a sense of spatial openness, while frosted glass enhances privacy. This plan does not require modification of the wall structure, has a short installation period, and allows flexible adjustment of the spatial layout through the opening and closing of the sliding door, such as closing the door to form an independent shower area during showering and opening it to expand the visual space at other times.

Double-Door Design for Optimized Circulation
For small bathrooms adjacent to balconies, consider demolishing part of the non-load-bearing wall and installing a folding door. When fully extended, the folding door can be 1.2-1.5 meters wide, directly connecting the bathroom to the balcony and creating a straight circulation path of 'bathroom-balcony', facilitating the drying of clothes or access to balcony storage. When folded, the door occupies only about 20 centimeters of space, hardly affecting the internal use of the bathroom. This plan requires confirming the nature of the wall in advance and ensuring proper waterproofing to prevent rainwater from the balcony from seeping into the bathroom.

Double-Door Design for Three-Sectioned Bathrooms
A three-sectioned layout completely separates the functions of washing, toileting, and showering, requiring two doors: one at the entrance to the toileting area and another at the entrance to the shower area. The doors are recommended to be made of PVC material or aluminum alloy frames paired with glass, balancing waterproofing and lightness. The width of the toileting area door is recommended to be 70-80 centimeters, facilitating access for wheelchairs or large items; the width of the shower area door can be 60-70 centimeters, and it can be paired with magnetic sealing strips to prevent water vapor from escaping. The positions of the two doors need to be planned according to the original structure of the bathroom to ensure that the circulation paths of each functional area do not interfere with each other.
