Toilet Sliding Door Renovation Plan

Admin October 07, 2026

The toilet sliding door renovation plan should be systematically implemented from three aspects: construction preparation, installation steps, and maintenance, as detailed below:

I. Construction Preparation

  1. Technical Preparation
Organize construction personnel to familiarize themselves with the design drawings, clarify the model, size, opening direction, and installation position of the sliding door, and focus on verifying the matching between the opening size and the door specifications. Confirm the door frame fixing method (such as wall embedding or expansion screw fixing), track type (upper/lower/天地轨, which can be translated as upper/lower/all-around tracks), and hardware accessory models (such as pulleys, locks, and dampers), and brief the construction team on the construction process, quality standards, and safety precautions.
  2. Material Preparation
  • Door Body Materials: Prioritize tempered glass (≥8mm, with 3C certification), aluminum alloy door frames, or moisture-proof treated wooden composite doors (with a moisture content ≤12%), ensuring no scratches or deformation on the surface.
  • Track System: Aluminum alloy/stainless steel upper tracks, groove-type/hanging-wheel lower tracks, with pulley assemblies meeting load-bearing requirements (single door ≤80kg) and rotating smoothly without jamming.
  • Hardware Accessories: Bathroom-specific waterproof locks, rust-proof hinges, handles, dampers, and neutral silicone weather-resistant sealant (compliant with GB16776 standard).
  • Auxiliary Materials: Corrosion-resistant woodworking boards, foam adhesive with stable expansion coefficients, easy-peel masking tape, sandpaper, and cleaning agents.
  1. Tool Preparation
Equip with measuring tools such as laser line projectors, spirit levels (accuracy ±0.5mm/m), and tape measures; cutting tools such as glass cutters and profile cutting machines; drilling tools such as impact drills (with 6-12mm drill bits) and electric drills; installation tools such as screwdrivers and wrenches; and auxiliary tools such as vacuum cleaners and rags.
  2. Site Preparation
  • Base Treatment: Clear debris from the opening, check the wall perpendicularity (error ≤3mm/m) and flatness (error ≤2mm/2m), and level any deviations with cement mortar or plaster; for lightweight partition walls, embed woodworking boards (≥18mm) or metal parts to enhance load-bearing capacity.
  • Environmental Requirements: Construction temperature should be between 5℃ and 35℃, with relative humidity ≤85%. Avoid construction during rainy days or when walls are damp; the floor must have completed waterproofing and closed-water testing (with water retained for ≥24 hours without leakage), with floor tiles and wall tiles laid, and floor drains installed.

II. Installation Steps

  1. Measurement and Line Setting
Use a laser line projector to snap vertical lines on both sides of the door opening and the centerline of the floor track (with the track length being 50mm wider than the door body), and measure and record the height, width, and thickness of the door opening for comparison with the design drawings.
  2. Removal of Old Door (if renovation is required)
Use an electric screwdriver or manual screwdriver to disassemble the old door, avoiding damage to the wall surface and preserving the integrity of the door leaf and frame.
  3. Installation of New Door
  • Install Door Frame: Drill holes in the wall according to the positioning lines, nail in steel nails to fix the door frame, and use a spirit level to correct the levelness.
  • Fix Wheel Boxes: Install wheel boxes in the middle and lower parts of the door frame, erect the door leaf, and then install the upper wheel box, ensuring the top of the wheels is slightly higher than the side of the door.
  • Adjust Opening Angle: Adjust the opening angle of the door to the appropriate position by turning the screws of the wheel boxes and moving the baffle.
  • Install Door Handles and Locks: Select appropriate tools according to the thickness of the door leaf to ensure accurate fixing of the handles and locks.

III. Maintenance

Regularly clean the door leaf and tracks, using a soft cloth and neutral cleaning agent to remove dust and dirt; apply lubricating oil to the contact parts between the door leaf and tracks every quarter to maintain smooth operation.
