Toilet in Scenic Area - China Mobile

Admin October 09, 2026

China Mobile's toilets in scenic areas have transformed from rudimentary facilities into micro-hubs that integrate technological innovation and ecological wisdom, achieving significant improvements in materials, environmental protection, operation, energy supply, visitor experience, and ecological conservation.

In terms of materials, mobile toilets commonly employ high-tech composite materials such as metal-embossed panels, which are robust, durable, aesthetically pleasing, and capable of withstanding various climatic conditions while harmoniously blending into the scenic environment.

Regarding environmental protection technology, three mainstream models have emerged. The water-saving circulation model is equipped with biochemical treatment units that utilize microbial degradation technology to safely decompose feces, with the treated water undergoing deep purification for reuse in toilet flushing, resulting in extremely low water consumption per use. The waterless ecological model adopts dry separation and packaging methods, along with microbial strain degradation, to convert waste into organic fertilizer, eliminating reliance on sewer networks and external resources while achieving zero sewage discharge. The fully automated, highly integrated model combines multiple technologies for efficient waste treatment.

In terms of operational mechanisms, reliance is placed on the synergy between modular design and real-time resource processing systems. The toilet body incorporates solid-liquid separation devices to preliminarily classify waste, reducing space occupation and avoiding the long-term soil permeation risks associated with traditional septic tanks and the direct environmental impact of simple temporary toilets. The water circulation system is equipped with graywater filtration units, enabling wastewater from handwashing and other sources to undergo multi-stage filtration and disinfection for reuse in toilet flushing or irrigation of surrounding greenery, thereby reducing freshwater consumption and sewage output.

For energy supply, solar photovoltaic panels are often combined with low-power-consumption devices to provide electricity for lighting, ventilation fans, and some treatment pumps, with excess power stored in batteries to enhance deployment feasibility in scenic areas without grid coverage. The ventilation system typically combines passive air ducts with micro-fans to ensure air circulation and control odors while consuming minimal energy.

In terms of enhancing visitor experience, the interior of toilet stalls is reasonably planned with hand paper holders, handrails, and hooks, while the exterior guides visitor flow through clear signage or color-coded zones. Some newer models incorporate occupancy status indicators to reduce queue confusion.

Regarding ecological conservation, mobile toilets minimize disturbance to the surface ecosystem, with installation and removal processes causing minimal damage to site vegetation and soil structure. The use of biodegradable agents or environmentally friendly chemical treatment agents reduces the risk of secondary pollution during subsequent centralized treatment.
