Toilet Renovation - Mobile Toilet

Admin September 21, 2026

Mobile toilets for toilet renovation can be achieved through various creative methods, as detailed below:

I. Creating a Mobile Toilet Using a Water Storage Tank

  1. Base and Wheel Installation: Select an appropriately sized water storage tank as the core container. Cut a piece of wood to match the tank's base shape and install universal wheels at each corner of the wood to ensure mobility.
  2. Tank Body Fixation and Opening Treatment: Use wooden strips to vertically fix along the tank body, forming a stable frame. Cut an oval opening on the side of the tank as the toilet entrance, and wrap and reinforce the edges of the opening with wood to prevent scratches.
  3. Functional Component Integration: After raising the tank's mouth, install a lid that can be opened and closed. Reserve space on the side to install a green water storage tank with a water pipe connector (for flushing) and a showerhead. Connect a drainage pipe at the bottom of the tank to a floor drain to ensure smooth sewage discharge.
  4. Sealing and Decoration: Apply sealant at the contact point between the toilet and the tank body to prevent leakage. Install a wooden door or curtain for privacy, and ensure the overall structure remains level to avoid tilting.

II. Building a Mobile Toilet Using Discarded Tiles

  1. Base Cutting and Wheel Installation: Place the toilet base on the tiles, mark the outline with a marker pen, and then use an angle grinder to cut out a rectangular tile piece slightly larger than the toilet base. Flip the tile, drill holes at the four corners, and install universal wheels. Cut off the protruding bolts to ensure flatness.
  2. Toilet Fixation and Pipe Connection: Place the toilet back on the tile base, mark the position for the hose to pass through, and then drill holes. Insert the sewage hose and fix the toilet with cement. Install accessories such as a water tank and toilet lid. Connect the other end of the hose to the drainage pipe and the inlet pipe to the water source of the water tank.
  3. Stability Optimization: Check the fit between the tile base and the toilet, and reinforce with anti-slip mats or glue if necessary to prevent movement during use.

III. Toilet Relocation Renovation (Indirectly Achieving a Mobile Effect)

  1. Short-Distance Adjustment Using a Relocator: Suitable for micro-adjustments of 10-30 centimeters. Connect the original sewage pipe to the new position using a dedicated relocator, ensuring a pipe slope of ≥2% to prevent blockages.
  2. Raising the Floor and Relaying Pipes: Raise the bathroom floor by 15-20 centimeters and relay the drainage pipes to the new position. This method is suitable for larger-scale renovations but requires consideration of ceiling height limitations.
  3. Wall-Drained Toilet Renovation: Relocate the sewage outlet to the wall and connect it to the main drainage pipe through a horizontal pipe. This saves floor space and allows for flexible relocation but requires advance planning of the in-wall pipe layout.
  4. Floor Opening Relocation: Drill a hole in the ceiling below and vertically move the sewage pipe down to the new position. This requires consent from the property management and proper waterproofing treatment, with relatively high construction difficulty.

Precautions: All renovations must ensure a reasonable slope for the drainage pipes (usually 2%-3%) and tight sealing at the joints. If floor openings or damage to the waterproof layer are involved, reapply waterproofing and conduct a 48-hour closed-water test to prevent leakage risks.
