Toilet Position Relocation
Toilet position relocation can be achieved through the following methods, and the appropriate solution should be selected based on actual needs and conditions:

Short-distance adjustment using a toilet position extender Suitable for short-distance relocations of 10-30 cm, with a maximum of no more than 40 cm. The principle involves connecting the original drain outlet to the new position using a flat pipe, resulting in minimal modifications and low costs. However, it may affect flushing performance and increase the risk of blockages. During construction, a slope of 1%-3% (i.e., a drop of 1-3 cm per meter) should be reserved to ensure smooth drainage of sewage; the height of the flat pipe of the toilet position extender is approximately 4 cm, which may cause local elevation of the floor. Note: The longer the relocation distance, the higher the risk of blockages. It is recommended to prioritize this method for small-scale adjustments.
Elevating the floor and re-laying pipes Suitable for long-distance relocations (e.g., exceeding 40 cm). By elevating the floor in the toilet area (e.g., building a raised platform or elevating the entire area), the slope requirements of the pipeline can be met to ensure smooth drainage. This method requires re-laying the drainage pipes, resulting in higher construction complexity but better stability compared to a toilet position extender. Note: Floor elevation may affect ceiling height or the connection with other areas, so overall space planning should be done in advance.
Wall-mounted toilet design By hiding the drainage pipes inside the wall, long-distance relocation can be achieved while maintaining a beautiful and easy-to-clean appearance. The drain outlet of a wall-mounted toilet is located on the wall, allowing for flexible position adjustment and avoiding the blockage problems of traditional floor-mounted pipes. Note: Wall-mounted pipe laying may increase the floor height (approximately 10-15 cm), and space for the pipes should be reserved in the wall in advance. This method is suitable for new home decoration or bathroom renovation.
Operation of a special flat pipe toilet position extender Suitable for large-distance relocations of over one meter. The original floor drain pipe should be cut off, and a special flat pipe toilet position extender should be inserted and ensured to be tightly and straightly clamped. A slope should be reserved during bonding. This method requires high construction precision, and the joints should be strictly sealed (e.g., using leak-stopping compound to fill the gaps); otherwise, leakage may occur. Note: After large-distance relocation, the condition of the pipes should be regularly inspected to avoid blockages caused by settlement or deformation.
Relocation in a sunken bathroom If the bathroom has same-floor drainage (with the floor sunken by approximately 30 cm), the drainage pipes can be directly adjusted within one's own floor without passing through the floor slab, avoiding interference with the occupants below. This method offers high flexibility, but it is necessary to confirm whether the original drainage design supports relocation. Note: After construction, a new waterproof layer should be applied, and the backfill material in the sunken area should be compacted to prevent settlement.
General precautions:
- Relocation using a toilet position extender should be kept within 40 cm as much as possible, as longer distances are prone to blockages;
- After relocation, check whether the slope is reasonable (the drainage speed can be verified through a water injection test);
- Sealing during construction is crucial to avoid joint leakage that may cause damage to the occupants below.
