Movability of Toilet Odor-Blocking and Sealing Devices
Whether a toilet odor-blocking and sealing device can be moved depends on the situation. Some types can be moved, while others are difficult to move after fixed installation.

Movable Types
Some simple toilet odor-blocking and sealing devices are designed to be flexible. They are usually made of soft materials, such as silicone odor-blockers. These odor-blockers are generally placed directly at the toilet drain outlet or floor drain opening. They rely on their own elasticity to fit tightly with the drain outlet, blocking the upward flow of odors. Due to their simple installation method without complex fixed structures, they can be easily picked up and moved when cleaning, changing positions, or performing other operations is required. For example, when a deep cleaning of the toilet is needed, the silicone odor-blocker placed at the toilet drain outlet can be removed to facilitate the cleaning work. After cleaning, it can be put back in place.
Difficult-to-Move Types
There are also some toilet odor-blocking and sealing devices that are fixedly installed. These odor-blockers may be tightly connected to drainage pipes or toilet facilities through fixing methods such as screws or glue. For example, some metal odor-blocking and sealing devices use screws to fix them at the interface of drainage pipes to ensure their sealing and stability. Once installed, moving them requires first removing the fixing devices, which is not only a complex operation but may also cause damage to drainage pipes or toilet facilities. Moreover, during the removal and reinstallation process, improper operation may lead to a decrease in the odor-blocking effect and odor leakage problems.
In addition, some odor-blocking and sealing devices that are integrated with toilets or floor drains are almost impossible to move separately due to their close integration with the main facilities. If forced to move, it may damage the sealing and integrity of the entire drainage system, affecting normal use.
