Toilet Movable Socket Installation

Admin October 10, 2026

The installation of movable sockets in toilets can refer to the installation method of track sockets, as detailed below:

Power Cord Connection Methods

There are two options available. In-situ Replacement involves directly utilizing the existing power lines of the original socket for modification. This method is relatively simple but requires ensuring that the load-bearing capacity of the existing lines meets the requirements of the new socket. External Plug Connection involves connecting to the power source through an externally attached plug. This method offers greater flexibility but requires attention to the specifications and safety of the plug to ensure compatibility with the socket and compliance with relevant safety standards.

Installation Methods

  • Non-drilling Installation: Generally suitable for situations where drilling into the wall is not required. Although specific steps are not detailed, it typically involves using special adhesives or mounting devices to secure the socket in the desired position. This method does not damage the wall but requires attention to the firmness and stability of the adhesion.
  • Drilling Installation: First, locate the power lines of the original socket and turn off the main power supply, which is a crucial safety step to prevent electric shock accidents. Then, remove the original socket. Next, drill a hole at the new location where the socket is to be moved. The size of the hole should match the mounting box, and the socket box can also be fixed in convenient locations such as under the sink or behind the mirror. After that, connect the wires to the new socket location, ensuring correct and secure connections to avoid short circuits or poor contact. Once the wires are connected, test the socket to ensure it works properly before sealing the hole at the new location. Finally, turn the main power supply back on and test the socket again to ensure normal power supply.

Precautions

  • Always turn off the main power supply before installation, which is a key step to ensure personal safety.
  • Choose a location that is close to water sources and mirrors for easy plugging and unplugging of electrical appliances, ensuring convenience of use.
  • When drilling a hole at the new location, ensure that it will not affect the waterproofing of the bathroom to prevent accidents such as water leakage.
  • If you have no knowledge of electrical work, it is recommended to hire a professional electrician to perform the operation to avoid safety accidents.
