Toilet Mobile Glass Door Lock Installation
The installation of locks on toilet mobile glass doors should follow standardized procedures. The specific steps and precautions are as follows:

Installation Steps
Prepare Materials and Tools
Gather all necessary tools and materials in advance, including locks, lock cylinders, lock screws, a cordless drill, drill bits (selected according to the size of the lock cylinder), screwdrivers, hammers, rulers, etc. If choosing a non-drilling lock, you can omit drilling tools like the cordless drill.Determine the Lock Installation Position
- Use a ruler to measure the edge of the door frame or glass door and select an appropriate height (usually 1-1.5 meters from the ground or top) to ensure the lock aligns with the door edge.
- Key Point: Avoid installing the lock on fragile parts of the glass door (such as thin edges) or load-bearing structures of the door frame to prevent damage to structural stability.
Drill Holes (for locks requiring drilling)
- Based on the size of the lock cylinder, use a cordless drill to create holes of corresponding depth and diameter on the door frame or glass door.
- Note: For drilling glass doors, use a dedicated glass drill bit and keep the cordless drill perpendicular during operation to prevent glass breakage. For metal door frames, control the drilling speed to prevent overheating and deformation.
Install the Lock Cylinder and Lock Body
- Insert the lock cylinder into the hole and adjust it to be flush and secure using a screwdriver or hammer, then reinforce it according to the instructions.
- Fix the lock body to the door, ensuring precise alignment between the lock tongue and lock cylinder. Tighten the screws with a cordless drill (non-drilling locks are fixed with adhesive or clips).
Function Test
Repeatedly open and close the lock to check if the lock tongue extends and retracts smoothly and if the door remains secure after locking, ensuring there is no jamming or looseness.
Precautions
Lock Compatibility
- Choose the lock type based on the thickness (e.g., 8-12mm) and material (tempered glass, regular glass) of the glass door. For example, non-drilling locks are suitable for thin glass, while spring latch locks need to match the door frame slot.
- Available lock options in the market include frameless balcony window bolts, non-drilling bathroom locks, all-copper bathroom locks, etc., with significant price differences. Selection should be based on budget and security needs.
Safety and Protection
- Prioritize locks that have passed safety certifications to avoid using inferior products that may compromise security.
- Additional installations such as security chains, door stops, or doorbells can enhance privacy protection and convenience.
Operational Standards
- Carefully read the installation instructions. For complex operations, it is advisable to contact professionals to avoid damage to the door or lock failure due to improper installation.
- Wear safety goggles and gloves during installation to prevent injuries from glass shards or metal.
Maintenance and Inspection
Regularly check if the lock screws are loose or if the lock tongue is deformed, and lubricate the lock cylinder in a timely manner to extend its service life.
