Mobile Bed for Toilet Needs

Admin September 26, 2026

If you need to address the need for a mobile bed for toilet use, consider the following three types of products or solutions:

1. Elderly Toilet Care Beds
These care beds are multifunctional medical devices specifically designed for elderly individuals with mobility issues or paralyzed patients. Brands include Maizhi, Felisicang, Haofuqi, Xingda Gaoke, etc. Their core functions include manual lifting, back-raising and turning over, as well as direct toilet use on the bed. The bed body is usually equipped with an openable toilet hole, connected to a waste container below. Some models also feature automatic flushing and deodorization functions, reducing the care burden. The bed body is mostly made of medical-grade steel, with strong load-bearing capacity, and is equipped with safety railings to prevent patients from falling off the bed. These products are produced by medical device companies across various regions and require medical device certification, suitable for long-term home care or medical institution use.

2. Electric Turning and Toileting Bed (Patent Expired)
This device was developed by Wang Chunlin and others (Patent No. CN200620148466.7) and was previously used for the care of bedridden patients with stroke or hemiplegia. Its structure includes a bed frame, bed board, turning mechanism, toilet device, and electronic control system. The toilet device is located below the middle section of the bed board, enabling automated waste disposal through a transmission mechanism; the electronic control system can drive the turning function to assist patients in adjusting their posture. However, it should be noted that the patent expired in 2010 due to non-payment of annual fees, and there may be no legitimate production or sales in the current market. If use is necessary, carefully evaluate safety and compliance, and avoid choosing products from unofficial channels.

3. Vehicle Modification for 'Mobile Bedroom'
Some vehicle owners modify their trunk space to create a mobile resting area, such as by laying down the rear seats, laying out extension boards and moisture-proof cloth, and installing privacy curtains. Some electric vehicle models can maintain air conditioning operation in camping mode, meeting basic resting needs. However, such modifications usually do not reserve space for toilet use. If waste disposal is needed, additional portable toilets or urine bags must be configured, and attention should be paid to ventilation and hygiene. This solution is more suitable for short-term travel or emergencies, with lower comfort and convenience in long-term care scenarios.

Selection Advice:

  • For long-term home care, prioritize elderly toilet care beds for their comprehensive functionality and high safety;
  • For short-term emergencies, consider vehicle modification, but resolve waste disposal issues independently;
  • Avoid using electric turning and toileting beds with expired patents to prevent safety hazards.
