Modification of Toilet Mirror Cabinet to Movable Style

Admin September 27, 2026

To modify a toilet mirror cabinet into a movable style, you can follow the steps below:

I. Material Preparation and Dimension Measurement
First, determine the actual length of the mirror cabinet. For example, if the mirror cabinet is 38 centimeters long, you will need to order an acrylic panel that is slightly shorter (about 36 centimeters) to ensure there is adequate clearance after installation, preventing issues such as inability to insert or unstable fixation due to dimensional errors. The recommended width for the acrylic panel is 4 centimeters, which provides sufficient support area while facilitating easy access to items on a daily basis. Additionally, prepare U-shaped strips (which can be made of plastic or metal, matching the width of the acrylic panel), nano adhesive (which must be highly adhesive and water-resistant), and cutting tools (such as a utility knife or a small saw).

II. Cutting and Adhering U-shaped Strips
Cut the U-shaped strips to the same length as the width of the acrylic panel (e.g., 4 centimeters), ensuring that the cut edges are smooth and free of burrs to avoid affecting subsequent installation. After cutting, evenly apply nano adhesive to the back of the U-shaped strips, paying attention to maintaining an appropriate adhesive thickness without air bubbles to ensure strong adhesion. Before adhering, clean the surface of the mirror cabinet to remove dust or grease, ensuring full contact between the nano adhesive and the mirror cabinet.

III. Installation and Fixation
Adhere the U-shaped strips with nano adhesive along the inner edge of the mirror cabinet horizontally, pressing for more than 30 seconds to ensure the adhesive cures. When adhering, keep the opening of the U-shaped strips facing upwards to facilitate the insertion of the acrylic panel later. After the U-shaped strips are fully fixed, slowly insert the acrylic panel from the opening, ensuring it fits tightly against the U-shaped strips without wobbling. If the mirror cabinet is deep, you can add auxiliary supports (such as small clips) on both sides of the acrylic panel to further enhance stability.

IV. Function Verification and Adjustment
After installation, test the smoothness of the acrylic panel's movement to ensure it can be easily inserted or removed, while checking whether items such as skincare product samples might be accidentally knocked over. If the gap between the acrylic panel and the U-shaped strips is too large, you can optimize it by increasing the thickness of the nano adhesive or adjusting the position of the U-shaped strips. The advantage of this modification plan lies in its removability. If you need to clean or replace the acrylic panel in the future, you can simply pull it out from the U-shaped strips without damaging the original structure of the mirror cabinet.
