Tianmen Prefabricated Houses
Information on prefabricated houses in Tianmen covers aspects such as roof leakage treatment, private house demolition cases, and hazard assessment.

Roof Leakage Issues in Prefabricated Houses: In Tianmen and its surrounding areas, prefabricated panel-structured houses are quite common, and roof leakage is a challenging problem. The leakage points are usually not on the panels themselves but are concentrated at the joints between panels, the intersections with the parapet walls, and the roots of embedded pipes and fittings. This is because prefabricated panels undergo stress deformation due to temperature changes, making it difficult for ordinary waterproof coatings or single-layer membranes to adapt to such expansion and contraction over the long term, leading to repeated cracking. Therefore, addressing roof leakage in prefabricated houses requires more than just surface coating; it necessitates scientific substrate treatment and stress buffering design, such as using waterproof materials that can accommodate expansion and contraction and ensuring proper sealing at the joints.
Demolition Case of a Private Prefabricated House: During a safety inspection and rectification campaign for self-built houses in Mayang Town, a privately-owned prefabricated house built in the 1990s on a lane off Mayu Road was found to pose significant safety hazards. Located on a route frequently used by residents for daily travel, the house had accelerated aging due to years of vacancy and lack of maintenance, resulting in loose walls, unstable structure, and numerous pipes running through it, creating a serious safety situation. The Mayang Town People's Government attached great importance to this issue, established a special task force, and through communication and negotiation with the homeowner, provided financial compensation and free demolition services, ultimately obtaining the homeowner's consent for demolition. On April 18th, the dangerous house was successfully demolished, and at the same time, an illegally constructed brick-and-tile structure with safety hazards at the old Mayang Restaurant was also demolished.
Hazard Assessment of a Prefabricated Floor House: There is a two-story brick-concrete structure house in Tianmen with a rectangular floor plan. The walls are constructed with ordinary fired bricks, the floor is made of prefabricated panels, and it has a wooden roof truss with a tiled roof. After a hazard assessment of the house, in accordance with Section 6.2 of the "Standard for Dangerous House Appraisal" (JGJ 125-2016), and after a comprehensive evaluation of the hazards of the house's foundation, foundation, and superstructure, the safety grade of the house was rated as Grade D, and it was recommended that the house be demolished.
