Tianmen Cement Prefabricated Houses
Some products of Tianmen cement prefabricated houses can be customized on demand, involving brands such as Xinwei Hongtu, Zhuode, and Wufang Yiju. They are relatively common in Tianmen and its surrounding areas, but they have certain characteristics and issues, which are detailed below:

Roof Leakage Issues
Roof leakage points are usually not on the prefabricated panels themselves but are concentrated at the joints between panels, the intersections with the parapet walls, and the roots of embedded pipe fittings. This is because the prefabricated panels undergo stress deformation due to temperature changes, and ordinary waterproof coatings or single-layer membranes find it difficult to adapt to such expansion and contraction changes over the long term, making them prone to cracking again. Therefore, when dealing with roof leakage in prefabricated panel houses, it is not enough to just apply surface coatings. Scientific base treatment and stress buffer design are required, such as using appropriate waterproof membranes combined with reasonable laying methods to enhance the waterproofing effect and extend the service life of the waterproof layer.
Advantages and Disadvantages of the Houses
- Advantages: They are inexpensive, costing about 300 yuan per square meter. Building a two-story small building can be done for around a hundred thousand yuan, saving half the cost compared to traditional brick houses. The construction speed is fast, with the main body assembly taking only 4 hours to complete, and occupancy possible within two or three days, making them very suitable for people in urgent need of housing.
- Disadvantages: Their seismic performance is poor, and they are not recommended for use in earthquake-prone areas. Their sound insulation and thermal insulation effects are not good. In summer, the indoor temperature is high like a steamer, and in winter, it is as cold as an ice cellar. The joints are prone to leakage, and over time, the steel bars inside the prefabricated panels may rust, affecting the service life of the house. Theoretically, they can last for 70 years, but the actual service life depends on the construction quality. For post-80s and post-90s generations who pursue fashion and a sense of technology, if they want to install smart home systems or build garages, cement prefabricated houses may have difficulty meeting these personalized needs.
