Mobile Toilets at Tianjin Station
Tianjin Station is equipped with three types of mobile toilet facilities: vehicle-mounted mobile toilets, movable toilets (planned to be added), and intelligent toilets, to meet the toilet needs in different scenarios.
Vehicle-mounted Mobile Toilets: Efficient Water Conservation and 24-hour Service
One vehicle-mounted public restroom is parked in both the front and back squares of Tianjin Station. The vehicle has a length of 14 meters and a width of 2.5 meters, and adopts a zoned design: the front part is for women's toilets, and the back part is for men's toilets. The interior is well-equipped. In addition to basic toilet facilities, it is also furnished with carpets, air conditioners, exhaust fans, makeup mirrors, etc., to enhance user comfort. Its core technology is the foam flushing system with foaming mixture, which consumes only 0.2 liters of water per use, achieving a water-saving rate of up to 98% and significantly reducing water consumption. Each vehicle is managed by one cleaning staff member on a daily basis and is regularly cleaned by professional cleaning vehicles to ensure hygiene standards. These public restrooms are open 24 hours a day free of charge and receive more than 1,000 travelers and pedestrians per day on average, becoming a core toilet service point at Tianjin Station.
Movable Toilets: Addition Plans and Regional Coverage
To meet the toilet needs in the densely populated areas around the South Square and Longmen Building, Tianjin Station plans to add two movable toilets. Currently, the site selection and design have been completed, and they are expected to be installed and put into use within 2025. The addition of movable toilets will further optimize the layout of public facilities around Tianjin Station and alleviate toilet pressure during peak hours.
Intelligent Toilets: Technology Empowerment and Humanized Design
The two newly added intelligent public toilets in the Tianjin Station area adopt modular prefabrication technology. The main structure and core modules are manufactured in the factory and quickly hoisted and assembled on-site, shortening the construction period. Each toilet has seven toilet stalls, one urinal stall, and an independent third toilet to meet diverse needs. Internally, it is equipped with intelligent devices such as air conditioners, occupancy indication systems, and voice broadcast systems to enhance user convenience. At the same time, it is equipped with barrier-free handrails, emergency call buttons, and anti-slip ramps, reflecting humanized care. To address odor issues, a seamless connection design between the septic tank and the septic truck is adopted to ensure timely removal of excreta and prevent odor overflow.
The mobile toilet facilities at Tianjin Station have built a toilet service system covering all times and multiple scenarios through type complementarity and technological upgrades, providing efficient, comfortable, and environmentally friendly public services for travelers and citizens.
