Tianfanjie Mobile Toilet Installation
Admin October 13, 2026
The installation of mobile toilets in Tianfanjie requires adherence to a comprehensive set of norms, covering the entire process from preliminary preparations to post-installation maintenance. Here are the specific steps:

I. Preliminary Preparations
Site Selection and Evaluation
- Prioritize flat areas with good drainage, avoiding low-lying areas prone to waterlogging or areas near water source protection zones to prevent sewage leakage and environmental pollution.
- Check the ground bearing capacity. For soft soil (such as mud or sand), lay 10-15 cm of gravel or wooden planks in advance to ensure equipment stability.
- Confirm that there are no obstacles (such as trees or utility poles) nearby and reserve at least a 2-meter passage for transport vehicles and forklifts to operate.
Approval and Compliance
- If installing in public places (such as parks or squares) or scenic spots, apply for a temporary facility permit from the local urban management department, providing drawings of equipment dimensions and installation locations.
- Clearly define the installation responsible party in the lease contract to avoid the risk of removal due to incomplete procedures.
II. Transportation and Unloading
Transportation Protection
- Use a dedicated flatbed truck for transportation. Place anti-slip materials (such as rubber mats) between the toilet bottom and the truck bed, and secure the four corners of the box with ropes to prevent sliding during transportation.
- Check the box's tightness before transportation to prevent rainwater from seeping in and damaging internal equipment.
Unloading Operations
- Upon arrival at the site, use a forklift or hydraulic lifting platform for unloading. Ensure that the forklift tines are fully inserted into the toilet chassis's load-bearing beams to avoid deformation due to localized stress.
- When manually handling, at least four people should work together, lifting gently and placing gently. Dragging the box edges is prohibited.
III. Installation and Commissioning
Foundation Fixing
- Place the toilet at the predetermined location and fix it to the ground with M12 expansion screws penetrating the chassis (drill holes in advance for concrete foundations), or use weight blocks weighing over 200 kg to press down on the four corners of the chassis.
- For split-type toilets, assemble the chassis and frame first, then install the walls and roof. Use sealant strips to treat gaps at wall connections.
System Connections
- Drainage: Connect PVC drainage pipes to municipal sewers or sewage collection tanks, ensuring a slope of ≥2% for self-flow of sewage. Place the sewage collection tanks downwind, away from areas of human activity.
- Water and Electricity: Connect a 220V temporary power supply and test whether the lighting, exhaust fans, and flushing systems are functioning properly. For eco-friendly toilets, check the fecal tank capacity (usually ≥500L) and reserve a cleaning port.
Function Testing
- Open and close the door lock three times repeatedly to confirm there is no jamming. Check the ventilation system's air volume (≥0.1m³/s) to avoid odor accumulation.
- Replenish consumables such as toilet paper and hand sanitizer, and post usage instructions and emergency contact numbers.
IV. Advantages of Modular Installation
- Integrated Toilets: Pre-assembled in the factory, they only require hoisting into place and connecting water and electricity on-site, taking 2-4 hours to be put into use, suitable for urgent needs.
- Split-type Toilets: Wall installation only takes 1-2 hours, but an additional day is needed to complete internal pipe connections, suitable for long-term fixed use.
V. Usage and Maintenance
- Daily Cleaning: Clean the fecal tank (if it is a direct-discharge type) or replace the sewage collection tank every day. Wipe the box surface with a chlorine-containing disinfectant.
- Fault Handling: If the flushing valve leaks, turn off the water source and replace the seal ring. Circuit faults should be repaired by a professional electrician, and private disassembly is prohibited.
- Long-term Use: Check whether the expansion screws are loose every quarter. The sewage collection tank should be cleared and disinfected every week to prevent the breeding of mosquitoes and flies.
Tip: When choosing a leasing company, prioritize confirming whether it provides one-stop services for installation, maintenance, and sewage removal, and clearly define the responsibility division clauses in the contract.
