The Whole Process of Container House Construction
The whole process of container house construction includes four stages: design, production, decoration, transportation, and completion.

Design Stage: This is the precise transformation process from requirements to drawings. Designers need to deeply understand the specific needs of customers, such as the purpose of the house, the number of occupants, and functional zoning. At the same time, they must balance modularization and personalization, ensuring that container houses can be easily combined in a modular way while meeting customers' unique aesthetic and functional requirements. Simulating structural strength through 3D modeling software is crucial because the modified containers need to withstand the bumps during transportation and various stresses from long-term use, ensuring the safety and reliability of the modified container structures.
Production Stage: It is the art of balancing standardization and customization. The factory first conducts structural inspections on recycled or brand-new containers, carefully checking for hidden dangers such as rust and deformation to ensure the basic quality of the containers. Then, according to the design drawings, operations such as cutting, opening holes, and welding are carried out. The entire process strictly follows the "Code for Design of Steel Structures" to ensure the safety of the modified structures. In addition, water and electricity pipelines are pre-embedded to save a significant amount of time for subsequent decoration. For example, in some cases, screw pile foundations are used. Special machines screw steel piles into the ground while measuring pressure and torque in real-time. This method does not require concrete, consumes less energy during installation, and is completely reversible.
Decoration Stage: It is the transformation from an "iron box" to a "functional space". Interior decoration usually uses light steel keel partitions and environmentally friendly panels. The floor often uses non-slip tiles or industrial flooring to meet different usage needs. There are two common ways to handle the exterior walls: one is to retain the metallic texture and customize it with paint, and the other is to wrap insulation boards and decorative panels to improve thermal insulation performance and visual effects. After the containers are welded, the welded plates are treated with anti-rust paint, and the edge joints are carefully sealed with nitrile rubber-based aluminum foil tape to provide additional corrosion protection.
Transportation and Completion Stage: It demonstrates the advantages of modularization. The factory fixes the decorated container houses on special transportation frames and transports them to the destination by trucks or ships. During on-site installation, cranes are used to lift the containers onto the preset foundations. After connecting the water and electricity pipelines, they can be put into use. The entire process usually takes only a few hours to a few days, greatly shortening the construction cycle.
