The Development of Mobile Toilets in Shizuishan

Admin September 20, 2026

The development of mobile toilets in Shizuishan is mainly reflected in technological innovation, the expansion of application scenarios, and the optimization of applications in scenic spots.

Significant Technological Innovation

Mobile toilets in Shizuishan are based on a modular design concept, breaking down restroom functions into independent modules such as structural frameworks, sanitary fixtures, sewage treatment, water and electricity supply, etc. These modules are prefabricated in factories and can be quickly assembled on-site, achieving a transition from 'construction' to 'assembly'. This design has dynamic adaptability to urban land use, allowing for rapid deployment or removal based on pedestrian traffic data, effectively avoiding resource misallocation. Meanwhile, mobile toilets have broken away from the technical path of municipal sewage networks, adopting technologies such as recirculating water flushing, microbial degradation, and packaging and sealing to achieve on-site or small-scale treatment of waste, reducing dependence on complex municipal sewage systems. Additionally, new types of mobile toilets have integrated negative pressure exhaust systems, automatic induction flushing, hand washing, and hand drying equipment, greatly enhancing hygiene levels and user experience.

Extensive Expansion of Application Scenarios

Mobile toilets are highly flexible in meeting temporary needs. For temporary events such as markets, street performances, flash mobs, art exhibitions, etc., mobile toilets can be quickly deployed to the event site to meet the sanitary needs of the crowd during the event. After the event, they can be easily removed without causing long-term impacts on the venue, avoiding resource waste.

Continuous Optimization of Applications in Scenic Spots

Taking the Shahu Scenic Spot in Pingluo County, Shizuishan City as an example, to improve the tourism environment, enhance the scenic spot's quality, and solve the problem of difficult toilet access for tourists, the scenic spot has undertaken the construction and renovation of toilets. According to the 'Classification and Evaluation Standards for the Quality Grades of Tourist Toilets', six A-grade toilets have been newly built, and 11 old toilets have been renovated and upgraded. There are now 20 toilets in total, including 17 flush toilets and 3 eco-friendly, non-flush, foam toilets, with a total building area of 2,487.63 square meters and an adequate number of toilet stalls. In addition, there are toilet stalls for the disabled, elderly rooms, and third toilets to meet the needs of different groups of people. The interiors of the toilets are decorated and arranged according to the characteristics of the scenic spot, with complete facilities and equipment. There is dedicated cleaning staff, and relevant sanitation management systems have been formulated to ensure that the toilets are clean, odor-free, with intact facilities, and in normal use.
