The Cool Build Process of a Container House
Building homes from shipping containers is nothing new. After a designer's skilled touch, some containers become stylish, high-end residences that hold their own against other buildings.
Container housing is an architectural system that once again meets the fashion of the moment.
It can be moved from place to place at any time, bringing people more convenient and comfortable living.
This building is made of two containers. Floor-to-ceiling windows wrap the sides; when finished, the exterior looks distinctive, and it has a small single-story courtyard.
Convenient, eco-friendly, and cost-saving to build—those words define it.
Indoors it can be luxurious or minimal, creating enormous value.
Shipping containers usually last about 15-20 years in transport. Intact boxes retired from that life can often be reused a second time.
With proper care, after they "retire" they can serve another 15 years. Paired with concrete or other structures, they can last even longer.
After completion the main body appears yellow, assembled from timber—highly creative.
