How to Pack a Tent-Style Mobile Toilet
Admin October 09, 2026
There are several methods for packing a tent-style mobile toilet. The specific operation should be selected based on the toilet's structure, and attention should be paid to drying, cleanliness, and storage environment.

Method 1: Segmented Folding
- Top and Bottom Rod Handling: First, fold the two top support rods onto the same plane, then fold the two bottom rods simultaneously to ensure they are fully retracted without jamming.
- Erecting the Tent Body: Stand the tent upright so that the top rods naturally hang down towards the back of your hand for easier subsequent operations.
- Closing and Sealing: Hold both sides of the tent with your hands and slowly close them towards the middle until the two halves are fully aligned. Then, press the tent firmly to expel the internal air and finally seal it into a dedicated storage bag.
Method 2: Flat Folding
- Folding into a Flat Shape: Fold the entire tent toilet in half to ensure all fabric is flat and wrinkle-free, avoiding dead creases that could affect the material's lifespan.
- Lifting at One-Third Point: Use one hand to pinch the tent at the one-third point of its folded length and gently lift upwards to create a natural curve.
- Bottom Folding: Use the other hand to grasp the centerline at the bottom of the tent and fold it upwards to overlap with the lifted part. The tent will automatically form three circular structures.
- Adjusting and Storing: Make slight adjustments to ensure the circular structures are compact and not loose, then place them into the storage bag.
Method 3: Three-Dimensional Nesting Fold
- Erecting the Tent: Fully unfold and erect the tent, ensuring all support rods are stable.
- Nesting from Top to Bottom: Starting from the top of the tent, slowly nest it down to the bottom while keeping the fabric flat.
- Bringing Sides Inwards: Bring the left and right sides of the tent towards the middle to form a long, folded structure.
- Nesting the Top Inwards and Flattening: Nest the remaining top part inwards and finally flatten the entire tent into a thin sheet, then place it into the storage bag.
Storage Precautions
- Drying and Cleaning: Ensure the tent is completely dry before storage to prevent mold or material aging caused by residual moisture. Also, clean any surface stains to prevent corrosive substances from damaging the fabric.
- Storage Environment: Place the storage bag in a dry, ventilated area away from direct sunlight to slow down the degradation of the material by UV rays and extend its lifespan.
