Temporary Container House Decoration

Admin September 14, 2026

The decoration of temporary container houses needs to take into account structural safety, functional adaptability, and compliance, with the following key points:

I. Structural Safety and Foundation Treatment

  1. Container Selection

    • Priority should be given to welded integral containers, which are welded into shape as a whole in the factory, with a direct force path and strong resistance to deformation, suitable for frequent lifting and moving. If flexible assembly is required, it is necessary to check the wall thickness of the steel columns and bottom beams of bolt-connected assembled containers (it is recommended to be 1.5 - 3 millimeters). The thicker the wall thickness, the greater the load-bearing redundancy.
    • Pay attention to the coating process. Hot-dip galvanizing has a longer anti-corrosion lifespan than cold-dip galvanizing, especially suitable for areas with large diurnal temperature differences and significant humidity changes.
  2. Ground Treatment

    • The contact area between the container's bottom beam (I-beam or channel steel) and the ground is limited. It is necessary to ensure that the ground is flat and solid to avoid uneven settlement caused by soft soil, which can lead to deformation of doors and windows and cracks in the walls.
    • Concrete foundations can be used or steel plates can be laid to increase the load-bearing area. In coastal areas with strong winds, additional reinforcement of wind anchors is required.

II. Functional Adaptability and Space Optimization

  1. Internal Layout

    • Divide functional areas according to the usage scenario. For example, construction site dormitories need to be equipped with beds and lockers; office scenarios need to reserve circuit and network interfaces; commercial uses can add display racks and cash registers.
    • Adopt a modular design to achieve space expansion through rapid assembly or folding structures. For example, expandable containers can increase the usable area by 30% - 50%, and the unfolding time of a single set of folding containers can be controlled within 30 minutes.
  2. Facility Configuration

    • Integrate the water and electricity system, reserve sockets for air conditioners and lighting, and use fire-resistant rock wool sandwich panel walls to improve thermal insulation performance.
    • In emergency scenarios, basic living facilities such as toilets and kitchen modules need to be configured; for cultural and tourism purposes, floor-to-ceiling windows and terraces can be added to enhance comfort.

III. Compliance and Safety Protection

  1. Fire Safety

    • Select fire-resistant rock wool sandwich panels and avoid using flammable materials. The circuit design should comply with national standards, and electrical circuits should be regularly inspected to prevent short circuits from causing fires.
    • Equip with fire extinguishers and smoke detectors, keep evacuation routes unobstructed, and strictly prohibit the stacking of flammable materials in the container.
  2. Wind and Earthquake Resistance

    • Select the wind resistance level according to the climatic conditions of the usage area. In coastal areas, it is recommended to select products with a wind resistance level of ≥ 10 (for example, the products of Suzhou Zhongnan Steel Structure have been tested to withstand wind of level 10).
    • In earthquake-prone areas, the structural connection nodes need to be reinforced, and seismic brackets should be used to fix internal equipment.
  3. Compliance Qualifications

    • Select products that have passed the certification of third-party testing institutions to ensure that core indicators such as structural stability, installation efficiency, and scenario adaptability meet the standards.
    • When renting or purchasing, require the supplier to provide compliance qualification documents to avoid safety hazards caused by the use of refurbished second-hand containers.
