Teddy Dog Portable Toilet
Admin October 07, 2026
Solving the issue of a portable toilet for Teddy dogs can be approached from two aspects: training and tools.

Training Aspect
- Designate a location and clean it regularly: Teddy dogs are clean animals, so it's important to designate an appropriate spot for them to relieve themselves. Avoid busy and poorly ventilated areas. Pet owners can choose a dimly lit spot at home and clean it promptly, which helps prevent the dog from urinating everywhere.
- Daily exercise and outdoor relief: Take your Teddy for a walk after dinner each day and guide it to relieve itself in the grass by the roadside. Once it gets used to this, it will normally do its business outdoors.
- Observe carefully and grasp the timing: Pet owners should closely observe their Teddy's urination times each day. Once they have a precise understanding, they can take the dog to relieve itself at its usual times, improving training efficiency.
- Guide and reward appropriately: When training a Teddy to urinate in a designated spot, use rewards to create a fixed mindset that urinating in the right place will earn it a treat. Over time, it will stop urinating randomly.
- Arrange the toilet location properly: Prepare a spot for your Teddy to relieve itself, such as in the bathroom, on the balcony, or in the corridor at home. Once the location is set, don't change it randomly to avoid confusing the dog.
- Understand the dog's defecation patterns: Teddy dogs usually need to defecate after eating, waking up, or playing. They may exhibit behaviors like spinning in circles, sniffing around, or squatting. When you see these signs, guide the dog accordingly.
- Guide the dog properly: If you see your Teddy squatting, guide it to the toilet. If there's not enough time, pick it up and take it there. After it defecates, take it back and let it know to do so there in the future.
- Encourage and reward the dog: When your Teddy defecates in the designated spot, reward it promptly with a tasty dog treat or a few pieces of dog food. If it urinates in the wrong place, don't scold or hit it; instead, guide it properly.
- Repeat continuously to reinforce the idea: After guiding and rewarding, the Teddy will likely understand the concept of designated defecation, but repeated training is still necessary to reinforce the idea and form a habit.
Tool Aspect
- Dog crate selection: For small Teddy dogs, a reasonable budget ranges from 100 to 500 yuan. In 2026, a foldable wire crate with a tray and a toilet offers good value for money. If durability and rust resistance are priorities, a stainless-steel crate is a good choice. A suitable dog crate provides a relatively independent space for the Teddy and also helps train it to defecate in a designated area.
