Taizhou G.E.M. Deng Mobile Toilets

Admin October 12, 2026

The issues with mobile toilets at G.E.M. Deng's concert in Taizhou mainly involve unreasonable placement and poor management attitudes.

Unreasonable Placement of Mobile Toilets

During G.E.M. Deng's world tour concert in Taizhou on July 20th and 21st, dozens of mobile toilets were placed near the seating areas in the inner field close to the stands. From the on-site situation, there were obvious problems with this placement. On one hand, spectators sitting in the stands could clearly smell the odors emanating from the mobile toilets. Especially on hot days, the mix of sweat and various odors from the mobile toilets made the venue stuffy and smelly, seriously affecting the spectators' viewing experience. On the other hand, staff from the Safety and Environmental Protection Department of the Taizhou Sports Center Stadium explained that due to the large number of spectators at the concert, those in the stands could use the fixed toilets inside the venue, while it was less convenient for those in the inner field to do so. Therefore, mobile toilets had traditionally been placed in the inner field for events held at the stadium. However, even with such considerations, reasonable planning should have been carried out to ensure that it did not affect the normal viewing experience of the spectators. The placement of mobile toilets this time clearly did not fully take into account the impact on the spectators in the stands.

Poor On-site Management Attitudes

Some on-site spectators reported the issue of strong odors from the mobile toilets to the staff but were met with the retort, 'Others can tolerate it, why can't you?' This response not only failed to solve the spectators' practical problems but also reflected the staff's weak service awareness and lack of attention to and a proactive attitude in addressing the spectators' demands. Moreover, the rental and placement of mobile toilets at the concert venue were arranged by the organizer, and the stadium did not participate in the placement or management. However, this does not mean that an inappropriate response can be adopted when facing feedback from spectators. Relevant departments and personnel should actively coordinate with the organizer to jointly seek solutions to the problems instead of ignoring or even verbally abusing the spectators' reasonable demands.
