Admin October 13, 2026

Taidong Pedestrian Street has alleviated issues related to mobile public toilets by adding new public restroom facilities, with two new public toilets now in operation.

Underground Public Toilet at the Intersection of Taidong 3rd Road and Hexing Road

This public toilet opened on the evening of April 29th and is well-designed with comprehensive facilities. It features a transparent glass rain shelter above, which not only blocks rainwater to a certain extent but also ensures good lighting inside the toilet. The interior is clearly divided into functional areas, including men's, women's, and a third comprehensive restroom, fully considering the needs of different groups. In terms of stall arrangements, the women's restroom has 6 stalls, while the men's has 3 stalls and 4 urinals, accommodating a certain number of users simultaneously. Moreover, the toilet uses automatic sensor-flushing facilities, eliminating the need for manual operation after use, making it both convenient and hygienic. The sinks also feature automatic sensor-activated water flow, avoiding bacterial transmission that may occur with contact-based operations. Additionally, there are facilities to prevent rainwater backflow, effectively avoiding rainwater from entering the toilet interior on rainy days, which could affect normal use and hygiene.

This public toilet officially opened on August 6th and is relatively large in scale, featuring 26 stalls + 1 independent accessible restroom, capable of serving more people. In terms of decoration style, warm tones are used, giving a cozy and comfortable feeling. At the same time, lighting and ventilation facilities have been increased, ensuring sufficient light and air circulation inside the toilet, enhancing the user experience. A prominent signage and guidance system has been added on the north side facing the street, making it easy for pedestrians to quickly locate the toilet and improving its accessibility.
