Public Restroom Construction Achievements
In 2023, Taicang City built three new high-standard, intelligent public restrooms, among which the public restroom north of Chengnan Garden stood out and was awarded the title of "The Most Beautiful Public Restroom Built in Suzhou in 2023". Located on the north side of Chengnan Garden in the Science and Education New City, this public restroom was put into use in June 2023 with a building area of approximately 80 square meters. It was procured and constructed in accordance with the AAA-level standards of the "Suzhou Public Restroom Construction and Management Specifications", with a prefabricated building as the main structure and a novel appearance.
In terms of intelligence, it is equipped with a digital system that can display real-time information such as the availability of toilet stalls, foot traffic, water consumption, electricity consumption, and air quality monitoring. The internal functional areas are reasonably divided, including one management room, one tool room, men's and women's restrooms, and a standard third restroom. The women's restroom has six squat toilets and two sit toilets; the men's restroom has three urinals, three squat toilets, and one sit toilet. Each toilet stall is equipped with an exhaust fan, door control sensors, and a faucet with hot and cold water switching capabilities, greatly enhancing the user experience.
